Yet looking at his funding isn't? He's not anti Israel because of Jews, he's anti Israel because of the people funding him.....who hate Israel.

Right. Massie is certainly the favorite, and entered the race with a huge inside advantage. 60-40 with Massie winning was the MSM prediction all along.

What's odd to me is that we're even having this discussion

frick every other country that isn't the United States when it comes to electing people to be representatives of the republic

It's a complete absurdity that Israel is even a consideration

We'll see. I don't care for the guy but a lot of people do. It's not necessarily a sure thing he loses. I hope he does though.

I can't read Massie's mind, but putting US interests over Israel's isn't "anti Israel".

Since most of them have dual citizenship with a foreign country, are you sure you want individuals, with loyalties to another country, donating as much as they do to our political races? Why would you support someone foreign nationals support?

You know what would be cool? If someone who has the power to do so, like a veteran House member who has been serving since 2012 and has been outspoken about foreign money, could introduce or sponsor a bill to address dark foreign money in campaigns it.

I mean, said person obviously thinks it's a big deal, so why wouldn't he try to address it?

This is all hypothetical, as clearly there is no such person currently serving since 2012

Yeah. It wasn’t the leftist style attack at the end at all.

As expected, Massie bros are saying his constituents are too dumb to see through propaganda. It can't possibly be that Massie isn't delivering for them. No, it's the voters who are wrong, not the guy who is supposed to be representing them.

H.R. 2356 (The Dual Loyalty Disclosure Act)

and of course there's not much support from Congress to cut off funding for themselves.

That's about dual citizenship. Not dark money in campaigns. Nice try, though.

ETA Summary of how useless of a bill it would be:

quote:

What the bill actually does:

It would require candidates for federal office to disclose whether they hold citizenship in another country.
The disclosure would appear in their official candidacy paperwork.
It does not ban foreign donations.
It does not prohibit dual citizens from serving in Congress.
It does not directly address Super PACs, lobbying money, or campaign-finance loopholes.

H.R. 2356 (The Dual Loyalty Disclosure Act)

The bill amends the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971. It requires candidates for federal office (except nominees for Vice President) who hold citizenship in any country other than the United States to disclose that dual citizenship — including the name of the other country — in their official statement of candidacy filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). This information would be public.

The bill did nothing to stop it. It wasn't even it's purpose. It's just an expansion of federal gov right.....

This reminds me of Trump saying if he loses it’s because the democrats cheated, then he loses because in 2020 people still remembered how much he sucked in his first term, and not surprisingly accuses the Democrats of cheating. No evidence is ever presented to prove said cheating. MAGAs too stupid to have an original thought, storm capital in response and get one of their idiots killed over something that didn’t happen.
