I just told you. Because the therapist notes that she hinged her credibility on said she was gang-raped by 4 men.
She did indeed subtract 2 witnesses from the room for exactly the reason you suggested of having fewer witnesses to refute. It was just impossible to subtract the final witness. Because then gang-rape is wrong rather than just 1 digit of how many participated in the gang rape being wrong.
What's the risk if you don't give a date or place? It's not like you have twice as many alibis to dodge and twice as many party hosts that can attest to the alleged never having been at their house.

If a client came to me and told me this story and asked me whether or not she should include or not include in her story that the good friend of her attacker was there as a witness (and hypothetically, if I was dishonest)I would sure as hell tell her not to include that witness as part of her story.
