Again. Break it down.
Who got more votes Hillary or Trump in 2016?
OK. Now we know more people are D than R in the country. Among those many moderates were put off by Trump. So election turn out was really high.
81m didn't vote FOR Biden but AGAINST Trump.
Not very well liked Kamala got 75m votes to Trumps 77.3 in the next election.
Less people voted in 24. Because many knew which way the tide was going.
If it was a cheat why now after 6 years don't we have true evidence?? What we do have is recordings of TRUMP asking Georgia to give him more votes. We have similar from Arizona.
Hey no fraud. The one that gets me is if the election WAS cheated why were key senate races in states that cheating was alleged lost?
Then the whole asking supporters to storm the Capitol to stop Pence from certifying the election was pure insanity.
You win some you lose some. You don't cry about it for a decade after.

Damage to trust & perceived legitimacy is there, but "we will never have another legitimate election" probably goes too far (an election being legitimate & it being accepted as legitimate are different), and while we're probably stuck with some of this from both coalitions, the actual evidence is still going to matter, as will at what level of the coalitions the accusations are coming from.
You can try to at least hold to similar standards for whoever wins, but declaring in advance that a loss proves cheating makes that almost impossible. Notice though that even this thread has plenty of people pushing back against the OP. A lot of people on this site are more willing to not accept cynicism than you'd think at first.
ETA: anchored. I sort of get it, but better that people should talk through this, IMO.

And he wouldn't be the first, or the last president to do it. It's happened and will happen with presidents from both sides of the aisle.

Yeah, I could have worded that better. I meant in a lot of people's minds there would never be another legit election.
And to cubbies reply, it is a cumulative thing. On those who don't pay attention it is the constant promotion of "rigging" that undermines trust. Most probably don't even realize they've lost trust, but the cynicism of the coverage and commentary wears on people.

People are going to downvote you, but what you’re saying is 100% the truth. Democrats cheat. It’s all they have. They’re vastly outnumbered. They know this. Why do you think they let anyone with a pulse into the country? Why do you think they keep dead voters on the rolls? Why do you think they allow illegals to vote?
In the states Dems have taken over politically, the elections are 100% rigged and they've made it to where there is no solution to stopping it. Take a look at the electoral college map. Do you really believe the numbers coming out of these blue states?
The SAVE act will never pass because it would mean the end of the Democrat party. That is a fact.
But sure, you downvoters keep your heads buried in the sand. Keep believing we have fair elections. Watch what happens in the coming years with voter fraud. You just think it’s bad now
