The Bible clearly teaches election--that God has a chosen people. God chose Abraham out of the pagan nations to make for Himself a special people, typifying the broader NT Church. This nation was expanded with Christ into the Gentile nations, with God's chosen people being from among the nations where the gospel goes forth.
God told the people of Israel that He did not choose them because they were better or more numerous than any other nation, but that He decided to set His love upon them, and expand that covenantal love to the NT Church in time.
God doesn't have a favorite "race".

The God you are referring to here is Jesus pre-incarnate. He got “dibs” on Israel because he was El’s most special son, or maybe it was for some other reason El let him choose. But make no mistake, Jesus pre-incarnate received Israel as his inheritance (along with all the other sons of El, who judged unfairly their inheritances and who are doomed to pass away). One cannot inherit something from oneself. So the Bible is clear there is no “Trinity”. Remember Jesus’ own words - “Why do you call me good? There is none good but God (ho Theos) alone.” Ho Theos and Kyrios are two separate deities and the Bible is clear on this. The Athanasian and Niceno-Constantinopolitan creeds are completely unbiblical and heretical.
