remove the engines and fuel tanks from current aircraft, then build huge versions of these to launch. Just point that sumbitch the direction you want to fly and let r rip.

It would probably have to be some version of the vacuum tube, maglev proposal they’ve suggested for NY to London with a Hawaii layover. The distances are so freaking far so you need the speed, but I don’t know if the Pacific is worse than the Atlantic in regards to current.
