Who was the brown woman in the shiney dress trying to ride Trump's exit plan??

Seeing her crawling at the end made me chuckle, after her first attempt. I know it's mean, but her whole journey in that clip just made me laugh.

It is odd they scuttled the VP first... then again, I'm sure Vance is far more agile than Trump and can simply move faster.

Might have been protocol - the QRF may have said, "We want guns facing forward before we move POTUS" - and it could have been that he's not going to move as quickly.

I mean, there were probably 100 guys on the floor in tuxes. You had details at almost a dozen tables, not counting the dais. Just the footprint for Rubio and Hegseth was massive, and they weren't even on the dais.

Technically Bessent is between Rubio and Hegseth in the succession order, but realistically, you had the top 4 officials in the executive branch, and the leader of the House of Representatives in a relatively small area in a technically public place, among a shite ton of other VIPs, public and private.

There was at least one report saying he was a guest at the hotel, which would have made screening outside the venue a non factor.

I admit to not having any knowledge of how these things work. There's been a couple of replies, including yours, in the thread that make a lot of sense.

Democrats are saying Vance was removed first on X. THEY ARE IDIOTS. Trump was removed first.

This theory is stupidity.

There was no security screening outside the venue. Only outside the ballroom. Outside the ballroom there were metal detectors, but nobody was even checking IDs. This is according to Kari Lake. The security was shite.

This is insane. I was part of an event with the Clintons in 2019 at a decommissioned army base and they required 2 days of sweeps and intense security.

Vance isn’t 80 years old. Age makes a huge difference in one’s agility. Trump appeared to fall face down as they were moving him away with the human body shield.

Just FYI, Trump stopped and bent down to get a crawling Melania off of the ground on the way out.

Trump is fairly slow and a tad bit feeble. He fell down trying to get out. His detail knows exactly what kind of shape he is in and how they handle him is influenced by that.

The video last night showing Trump being removed had Vance on the left of the stage from Trump.

Possibly videos at different angles? The democrats are posting this as if Vance was in on it.

I am going to wait to conclude anything, thanks.

I stand corrected. Grok says this is true.

Yes, footage and multiple reports from the April 25, 2026, White House Correspondents' Dinner (WHCD) at the Washington Hilton confirm that Vice President JD Vance was escorted out by Secret Service agents before President Trump.

instagram.com

What HappenedDuring the event, shots were fired near a security checkpoint/lobby area as a suspect (reportedly a 31-year-old man from California) attempted to breach security and fired at officers. One Secret Service agent was hit but protected by a bullet-resistant vest and is expected to recover. The suspect was quickly apprehended and is in custody, facing federal charges including assault on a federal officer and use of a firearm during a crime of violence. No injuries occurred to Trump, Vance, the First Lady, or other attendees.

Inside the ballroom:Secret Service agents (including the counter-assault team) rapidly responded.
Vance was physically lifted/escorted from his seat at the head table first as confusion erupted—plates crashed, guests ducked or scrambled.
Agents then moved to cover and escort President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump (Trump briefly stumbled but was assisted).
The evacuation was chaotic but effective; Trump and Vance were later seen together unharmed at a White House press conference.

wtop.com

Video clips widely circulated (including on Instagram, BBC, CNN, and X) show Vance being rushed out moments before Trump. Some outlets described it as agents prioritizing rapid separation of protectees via dedicated teams.

bbc.com

Context and ProtocolThis aligns with standard Secret Service procedures for high-threat incidents involving multiple protectees: agents use layered, pre-assigned teams to move principals quickly to safety, often prioritizing whoever is most immediately accessible or following a specific extraction plan in a crowded ballroom setting. It does not indicate any lapse or favoritism—both leaders were safely evacuated with no harm, and Trump publicly praised the Secret Service response. The incident echoes prior threats against Trump but was contained swiftly.

chicago.suntimes.com

The event itself was disrupted and ultimately canceled/rescheduled. Trump addressed reporters afterward from the White House, flanked by Vance and others.Reports come from major outlets like Reuters, AP, BBC, CNN, NPR, and others, with consistent details across eyewitness accounts and official statements. Social media amplified the videos, sparking discussion about the exact order of the evacuation.

The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) maintains detailed, classified evacuation and extraction protocols for protectees, especially the President and Vice President. These are tailored to specific venues, threats, and scenarios but follow core principles developed through decades of operational experience, advance planning, and after-action reviews.Core Principles of Secret Service Evacuation ProtocolsSecret Service protection is multi-layered and proactive. It includes:Advance teams — Scout venues, establish perimeters (inner, middle, outer), identify vulnerabilities, and rehearse emergency responses (including evacuation routes, medical contingencies, and "medevac" options).

nbcnews.com

Dedicated protective details — Each principal (e.g., President, Vice President, First Lady) has their own team of special agents. These teams operate semi-independently but coordinate closely.
Counter Assault Team (CAT) — A specialized tactical unit that provides offensive support. CAT diverts, suppresses, or neutralizes threats (e.g., multiple assailants) to buy time for the close-protection agents to cover and evacuate the protectee(s). CAT deploys at fixed sites like events or with motorcades.

secretservice.gov

Immediate action on threat detection — Agents prioritize "cover and evacuate." This often involves forming a human shield around the protectee, moving them low or quickly to a secure vehicle, suite, or hardened location. Agents may physically assist or carry the protectee if needed.

In a "shots fired" or breach scenario, the goal is rapid separation from the threat while maintaining situational awareness. Protocols emphasize speed, coordination, and minimizing exposure. Exact sequences are pre-planned where possible but adapt in real time based on threat location, venue layout, and agent positioning.Handling Multiple Protectees (e.g., President + Vice President)When the President and Vice President are together (as at the 2026 WHCD), protocols account for simultaneous but parallel extractions:Separate teams handle each principal to avoid single-point failure.
Extraction order and timing depend on factors like:Physical proximity and accessibility of each protectee.
Pre-assigned roles and rehearsed plans for that specific event.

Meh, there job in this case is to get the vp away from the president.
Can't have both harmed so splitting them is priority #1. Trumps guys were very temporarily holding in place while Vance was vacated and trumps exit strategy mapped out

They really should have podiums and any seating areas have ballistic shields (non conspicuous) leaving a much smaller target and a space to duck into for cover.

Usually steel plates are behind the table skirt and in the podium. That’s why they have them duck down behind it.

We also learned that at Butler the bunting around the edge of the stage is just a cover for steel plates.

From a different view, I am pretty sure I saw an "agent??" stand directly in front of Trump from the direction the shots were fired.

JD’s detail is smaller than Trump’s. For the president, they shield in place until the two (sometimes more) shooters get between the president and the threat. Once the shooters are there to provide cover fire they move POTUS.

The VP doesn’t have those guys assigned.

Stop posting rational shite.
