ICE deportations have increased sharply since Noem’s departure. Going to double 2025

Pretty amazing graph.
Last year (2025) saw a record 443k deportations, twice the previous record.
2026 is set to see over *800k* deportations. Doubling last years record and quadrupling the pre 2025 record.
Noem wanted cameras and a spectacle. Current leadership seems to be more of a “just get the job done” group
The only annoying part is that BLS considers it a “lost job” if, say, an illegal gas station attendant leaves the country willingly. I think BLS shouldn’t include immigration related job loss in monthly job report. It’s not relevant

They could probably double even that number if they checked on every Walmart employee and whoever is taking your drive through order at every fast food joint except maybe Chick-fil-A.
