This is correct BUT Cruz isn't the most popular guy in DC either. He was seen as extremely weak in 2018 but he still had some sort of record to run on. Paxton doesn't exactly have that.

Nah…I still don’t see how majority of TX votes for that freak Talerico.

But it is telling about Paxton that it seems he’s almost in hiding like Biden was during the 2020 campaign. Talerico’s doing public appearances all over, and Paxton and/or his campaign wants him out of the spotlight.

For shite’s sake, America’s 250th 4th of July celebration, when you’d think any MAGA/pro-America candidate for office would be hitting up festivals and celebrations in his/her district or state, Paxton was in Europe with his mistress.

Embarrassing clown show.

I’m in Texas and most of my maga friends are not fans of Paxton. He’s the lesser of two evils

The man just looks like a crook. Cheated on his wife, impeached by his own party, and a convicted felon. He’s a massive POS and it’s crazy how people just think he’s the savior

Imagine if a DEM was running with his rap sheet

You're not just woofin'. And I can't stand Cruz. But Paxton is the worst.

One obvious feature of Paxton's disastrous presence on the Texas ballot this year is that all other Texas Republicans in statewide races are leading in the current polls, some comfortably. Even Dan Patrick -- the anti-THC firebrand -- is leading for Lt. Gov. Even ABBOTT is leading in his race.

Texas Republicans dropped the ball in selecting that loser Paxton

Correct but Beto was a much better candidate than Talarico as well.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. Go back and listen to some of Beto’s public speeches if you want cringe.

And saying you want to take guns away from Texans is never a “much better candidate”…. that’s probably the last thing you’d ever want to say lol.

Talarico has more energetic support than Beto and is running against a true slimeball. Cruz is a choir boy by comparison.

And one day you may be right about something. But not this race, this November.

Talarico has zero chance of winning in Texas. Between Republicans, Catholic Hispanics and Muslims, he has almost zero base.

Paxton is respected for his work as AG. Millions of voters turned out to primary voting to make sure he was the candidate. People are still pissed about how dirty Cornyn was in his campaign against Paxton. Those of us who don’t love Paxton will hold our nose and vote for him anyway. Do not forget the large, grass roots movement that got him on the ballot. It’s the most united I’ve ever seen the republican base here. Now, he just needs to stay the hell out of college football.

Paxton ending ( for the time being) the Bush family dynasty should be a large feather in his cap and buy a little latitude.

Republican incumbent Ted Cruz won the 2024 U.S. Senate election in Texas against Democratic challenger Colin Allred by a margin of 8.49 percentage points.

The voters will be there.

Paxton won in 2018 by 3% in a less favorable climate to republicans for a position Democrats didn’t expect to win. This race is going to be close.

This isn't true. This is a very winnable race for the Dems.

Very different environment than 2018 and he wasn’t running against a heretic who advocated for trans kids.
