Whether Iran blocks other ships or not, the US Navy guarantees not a single parcel will successfully enter or leave Iranian ports until there is a peace agreement.

Thank you for the response. That makes sense actually

I'm shocked we are actually taking Iran's threats close / attack and sink a tanker in the straight seriously. That would worse for them than it would be for us

“We” aren’t. We are being very deliberate and understanding that your last sentence is and has been true since the first day of this operation.

Some of “we” are either too dumb to understand this or too eager to make an OMB point.

Child. The title of your thread and the question and manner in which you ask it are childish.

You are getting the response you so richly deserve

The US has closed the strait to all naval traffic to/from Iranian ports.

The Iranians (via Insurance companies) have "closed" the strait to everyone else.

Hope that clears it up.

Iran is just saying it’s closed. We proved there wasn’t even any mines in the strait. It’s all a farce

The problem is Iran says closed and ships refuse to pass through out of fear, or insurance companies won’t take the risk.

I’m not sure what the answer to that is. Either the insurance and ships captains grow a pair or Iran will continue to hold the world hostage when they have no real ability to enforce anything. As long as there’s someone alive that supports the regime they can take power and continue this. We cannot kill them all. It’s the one card Iran has to play and it’s a tough one when the rest of world still fears them.

We need to work with the ships directly, issue letters of marque and reprisal under the U.S. govt and place machine guns and anti missile defense systems on the tankers. Let a few US navy guys run the systems on the ships. Ships pass through the strait, then we unload the equipment and our guys and the ship goes on its way

Keep the blockade in place. Be patient.

Set the terms of the agreement such that the blockade ships stay in place at our decision and the movement of Iraqi and their allies oil ships is open but the flow of them is controlled by the US and dependent on Iran doing what it says

Realize US doesn’t benefit and isn’t harmed by the strait closure anywhere near what others are

Iran is split up into factions and they don’t agree on policy amongst themselves so it is hard to negotiate a deal

Reading news would help you a lot, we only closed to ships from Iranian ports, Iran has shut down all traffic

I thought this was obvious. People around here are dumb. It's hurting everyone but with us closing it to Iran its losing them like 400+ million a day. We are hoping it hurts them more and they give in to our demands.

They called him and wanted a deal, or so he said. Monday it'll be back to threatening genocide, peace love and harmony Tuesday, then threatening NATO Wednesday, probably fire someone Thursday and then text that too late Jerome needs to be fully investigated, to wrap up another chaos week.

So you and Fox are trusting Iran
Why don't you post from your trusted news source about the current situation on the Strait of Hormuz instead of just criticizing other posters' sources?

Do you know how to do that, Fredo?

Closed with what? Their navy is sunk so what exactly are they closing Hormuz with? You people seriously think they are doing anything but issuing empty decrees? Apparently the panicans and Democrats are too retarded to know better.
