This is why you idiots fail, too stupid to learn the current laws while asking for new ones.

Because only people under 21 commit murder while using a firearm

How do more background checks help? If the current background check doesn't catch anything, what will more checks catch?

I would be ok with mandatory firearm training for someone buying their first firearm. Hunters have to take a hunter's education course before they can buy their first license. You have to pass a driver's test to get a license. It makes more sense to me that people should get trained to use their firearm properly. That's all the legislation I would support though.

Particularly more background checks and raising the rifle age to 21
The 21y/o thing is confounding given 18y/o US selective service requirements. I hate the willing inconsistency.

First follow existing laws.

Then . . .

Improving NICS and NICS compliance is critical.
Eliminating commercial loopholes falls under that umbrella.
Bumpstocks should have never been legalized under obama.
They should be illegal now.

There is zero statical support for the notion that this would reduce gun crime.

Agreed. In fact, I can almost guarantee that the overwhelming majority of violent crimes perpetrated by criminals under the age of 21 are committed with handguns.

Notice how countries with stricter gun laws dont have nearly the amount of illegal guns in circulation either?

So Mexico, Columbia, Venezuela, and Brazil don't have a huge black market for guns? Because all of those countries have much stricter laws regarding gun ownership compared to the US.

Those countries aren't the USA. The demand for illegal guns would have folks running guns in a heartbeat.

We'll definitely need a wall if we make guns illegal...

If only criminals followed laws, we could reduce the crime rate to zero.
