I used to scan Drudge religiously for my news. Now, it’s a heaping steaming pile of dog shite anti Trump propaganda.

Somebody wrote Drudge a fat check for Drudge Report after 2016. Dude disappeared into the mist with his millions. Was a main fixture for decades and was instrumental in Trump getting momentum in 2015.

This happened to a lot of high profile blogs around that time. Gawker bought a bunch of properties. The insightful owners/founders/editors took a hike and in his/her place, you got a bunch of liberal arts recent grads frustrated because their art-fim-history degree didn't get them anywhere and The Atlantic wasn't hiring, so they wound up at Gawker or Drudge or Huffpo, angry with a keyboard.
Gawker's Jalopnik became unreadable about that time. A car blog with TDS.

I hope he got paid big when he left control of the site to someone else. It went from 1.4 billion page views a month to 100 million. I think it has ticked up a bit. Maybe liberals are starting to take a shine to it. I think it was 80 million last time I checked.
He has never publicly explained what happened. Last time I checked there was limited info suggesting he just stepped back from managing the site and his partners shifted the content. I find it hard to believe.
My theory is Soros or someone with deep pockets paid him for the site and included a strict NDA.
