People won't eat at Chinese restaurants bc of racism over the beer virus.
First time in awhile I actually heard her voice and in my younger days I'd hit it and then promptly get the hell outta Dodge.

Fear is Fear... who doesn't enter a Chinese restaurant today and at least have a passing thought about where the food has come from?
The media is who said the Chinese are eating snakes and other grotesque creatures to make ends meet. The media also suggested this virus has come from this nastiness...

The media has been blowing this way out of proportion to elicit fear and confusion for political reasons. When people react foolishly by avoiding Asian looking people or buying up all of the cleaning supplies, Democrats call them racist. They’d have called Trump racist if he issued a travel ban a month ago.
That said, avoiding Chinese food in the US because of this is foolish. I don’t blame people for not understanding that. The media gives attention to any ridiculous point of view on this topic. Confusion and fear are their goals.
It seems to me that the people most likely to be carrying this are middle aged white guys with jobs that require extensive travel. They are young enough to have only minor symptoms that won’t prevent them from working, but they can still carry and spread it.
Wash your hands. Avoid direct contact with the elderly or the at-risk. Work from home if you think you may be sick. Take decongestant and cough suppressant if needed. Stay out of the hospital unless it’s an emergency. Basically continue acting as if it’s flu season.

You know my little town has 1 little Chinese restaurant, I really like the owners. I was afraid that their business might drop off, but when I went by there tonight, they were still packed at almost 9pm.

I went to one yesterday. Only three people during lunch hour. It's usually very busy.
