Teachers according to their own representatives are not essential workers

Teachers according to their own Representatives believe that children being in their presence isn't even a major factor in education

And most importantly. Teachers according to their own Representatives are telling me that on top of the above realities education can be reasonably substituted with parents doing part of their jobs.

Remember that these are the same unions that demand to teach all sorts of non-academic things in school because parents can't be trusted to teach their children these non-academic skills. But now those very same parents are being counted on to do at least 20% of the teacher's job.

Meanwhile those teachers have no problem going to their local grocery store where the Apparently far more essential cashier will happily let them get food. You know. We could have 18 wheelers drop off package food to various neighborhoods. There's no reason why teachers should have to do something scary like go out and get their own groceries. Why would they subject cashier's to that which they won't even subject themselves? They wouldn't be raging hypocrites would they?

I've been saying this from the beginning of this joke, teachers are digging their own grave, and it's not COVID that'll put them in it.

How stupid can you be, teachers?

Yep. Me doing 25% of their job apparently is a reasonable substitute. Which I guess is it's a horrible statement since I do have a graduate degree. But they are also saying that the welfare mom who hasn't had a job in 10 years is also a reasonable substitute to do 25% of their job!

I like most teachers I know and they are good people....

But......

They work half the year. They are off all summer and all holidays.

They have to work once they get home? Most professionals do work at home after their official work day is done and these other professionals work around the calender as well.

Jobs are hard.

Just look at the cities of Chicago and New York. Teachers haven't taught anything to their students there in decades!

Man the amount of bitching about teachers the past two weeks. All over some vocal minority people, someone they saw on FB, or states that have no impact on Louisiana.

We have a teacher down voting all the posts on here.

Hey coward , tell us why teachers aren't stupid for admitting they aren't essential.

My wife will be teaching K and 1st grade virtually. She’s still getting paid the same.
ZERO chance those kids at that age can learn remotely.

I love the misguided blame toward teachers. They are way down the totem pole for having a say in decisions.

My wife is a teacher, and wants to go back, but most around here want to go back to work. It’s not “all” teachers... I would wager if you clicked on Facebook profiles of the complainers, their political leanings would be...obvious.

After all this shite and the teachers saying that they can’t even come back to work virtually, I think Norm here provides one of the greatest moments in comedy when it came to teachers being the real heroes: LINK

Especially when retail workers, healthcare workers, plant workers, and truck drivers kept the country going, but what a bunch of pussies if teachers are supposed to be the real heroes.

All good points.

The teachers unions (brought to you by the democrat party) also understand that shuddered schools put pressure on businesses to continue lockdowns, work from home, etc for their employees. It’s all a ruse to crash the economy and get Trump ousted

I don’t know why y’all hate and think all teachers are horrible and useless, but they’re not. I had some amazing teachers that made a lasting impact on my life.

Most people know nothing about what the teaching profession really entails so these posts are a joke.

None of my friends and I are even in teachers and not one of us are in unions. We love our students and being in the classroom. We’re also grateful for our salaries-$3100 a month.

My sister-in-law is a teacher in Florida and she loves being in the Union.

At every family gathering we get to hear her whine and bitch about her "tough" job.

She is an elementary school art teacher. She starts work at 8 AM and pulls into her driveway before 2:30 PM everyday.

She makes 45k a year for a part time job.
