Rome is one of those places you really need to visit and see the iconic sites.

Then get the F out before you are stuck by a needle or have graffiti sprayed on you.

How many migrants are in Vatican City? How many bridges have they built with the bricks from the walls they tore down?

Cairo or Rome? Won’t be long until they’re indistinguishable.

Because diversity

I was there 2 years ago for six days and can confirm this video. However, we were early to rise and early to bed, so didn’t see too much of the night life. Yes, I am old…

Rome is amazing. See the sites and keep your wallet in your front pocket. Do not have a backpack, anything in it will get stolen

We were just there for 4 days and looked nothing like this. I'm sure if you ventured out it's there and sure there is some trash on the curb after hours but nothing compared to NYC or NO.

The port city of Ostia, 18 km west of Rome, on the Mediterranean, is famous as the Pickpocket Capital of the World. It's become an art form there.

First public library in the civilized world. Can't say for sure if men lurked around there, harassing coeds trying to study. That was well before my time

Wife and I were there a few months ago and enjoyed it. Didn’t see any streets with the garbage piled like that but can confirm the amount of graffiti did surprise me. And cigarette butts everywhere

Travel the world and you’ll see most major cities are shite holes outside the tourist areas.

Wife and I went to Italy in May, northern area around the big lakes. It was beautiful, but unbelievable how many people smoke. The food is supposed to be one of the things Italy is famous for, but honestly, it was my least favorite thing to do because of the smokers. I've read it's worse in the southern regions.

I'm glad I got to see a lot of great European cities in the 90's. Those places simply don't exist anymore.
