California care? ?? They invent ways to waste money. UBI is right up their alley.
If you can do your job from home, someone else can probably do it from home in another country - cheaper.

Wife and I went to Italy in May, northern area around the big lakes. It was beautiful, but unbelievable how many people smoke. The food is supposed to be one of the things Italy is famous for, but honestly, it was my least favorite thing to do because of the smokers. I've read it's worse in the southern regions.

I've been to four European countries. It's not just us. Was actually disappointed in how few hotties I saw.

I love Born to Run, and I probably always will.
Oh man I hate that song. The station in the shitty town I grew up in played that crap ad nauseum. frick Bruce Springsteen!
I still love it, especially this stripped down version.
Born to Run live acoustic

Regarding Hungry Heart, it's an ok song from BS, but not my favorite from that album.
Independence Day
The River
Point Blank
Stolen Car
Drive All Night (has my favorite Clarence solo)
And Sherry Darling is hilarious

Prince? Not a fan. I can agree he's talented, but don't like his music outside a few songs I'll listen to, but never seek out. I actively dislike When Doves Cry.
"Bruce Springsteen's official draft status was Class 4-F (medically unfit for service), a classification he received in 1968 after failing his induction physical due to a concussion from a motorcycle accident he suffered at age 17. Although he admits to attempting to "dodge the draft" by behaving erratically, filling out forms "crazily," and claiming to be high on LSD or gay during the induction process, the physical injury was the definitive reason for his exemption."

i'd add thunder road and atlantic city to the best of list
Oh yes, both excellent choices. I'm partial to this Thunder Road performance.
Thunder Road
I liked his pre-song dialog on this recording.
The River
He mentions failing his military physical and the crowd applauds and he says "that's nothing to applaud about"
I finally saw the band live in 2016 during The River tour. The music was great. Even though Clarence had passed years before, Jake did an admirable job. Springsteen's dialog between songs was very much lacking in feeling and I was extremely disappointed.

Big Springsteen fan in the 70's/80's. Soundtrack to my late teens/early 20's. He sharply faded creatively after Lucky Town/Human Touch IMO, until 9/11 inspired The Rising. I can remember hearing him saying some anti-Bush stuff in the early 2000's, and although I wasn't really a fan of Bush, I thought it was shitty the way he talked about the POTUS.
I still listen to that early stuff quite, even though I now think Bruce is a conceited POS.
I can understand folks not liking his music even back in the day. His voice is ... an acquired taste and his lyrics can certainly be contrived.
Born In The USA has been mentioned and was a big hit, but IMO, it's maybe the 10th best song on a 12 track album.
I leave you with some of my favorite Bruce live performances.
early 70's stuff
For You
Incident on 57th Street
from Born in the USA
No Surrender
from 9/11 inspired The Rising
Empty Sky
You're Missing

I listened to the whole thing. Very painful. He makes some good, obvious points, but is quite wrong on others. His pattern of speech is one of the most annoying I've ever heard. Emphasizes and raises his voice pitch on the last, or almost last syllable of every sentence. Talks like a 2nd grade teacher trying to keep the kids engaged. Honestly, I could have agreed with everything he said but I will still never listen to him again.
He called Europeans boot lickers if they go along with Trump. Anyone that uses that phrase is not a serious person.

Pretty sure this is false. Citizenship documentation would be required to register to vote, those already registered would only need ID to vote.
IMO, those documents should be made available for free to any adult needing them for the next 8 months. You know, so it isn't considered a Poll Tax.
