I know many of you dislike Giorgia Meloni, but I love this woman.

I have been sounding the alarm about this problem in the Schengen Agreement for a decade. My EU Law teacher scoffed and ridiculed me for pointing out that the agreement essentially allowed for the entire EU’s immigration policy to be dictated by and/or hijacked by the country with the loosest immigration restrictions.
I argued that this flaw would lead to one of only two potentially outcomes to resolve it: a. A federalized EU state with a common immigration system and national army; ir b. The breakup of the EU and rise of nationalism which will lead to open war between current EU members.

I could be wrong, but I thought Meloni was pretty popular with this board. I like her. She's easily one of the best leaders in Europe (I know that's a low bar).

A federalized EU state would just be Germany and the states that have to follow them. France would leave the EU like Britain.
France would not like being in a state where Germany is sort of the central node of the system. They regard themselves highly. Hell, they're the reason we're off the gold standard because they got upset about the Bretton Woods system giving the US too much economic privilege. Of course, they were right in some ways but it wasn't like it was the thing holding back a return of French global greatness.

I think the OP was trying to be edgy or have a clickbait title. The board, myself included, do like and support her. With that said, I don’t think women should be leaders of men, but hey, that’s just my opinion man.
