Ronald Reagan hasn't been president for 35 years, idiot. Everything he did has already practically been erased by the 3 Dem presidents since. The Republican Party without a Trump would have ran Jeb or Marco whom would have been soundly defeated by Hillary. The only reason she didn't win is because a total outsider came in and took the ring, galvanizing independents and even Dem castoffs on his way to the nomination. The GOP had a tired playbook filled with mindless, robotic mannequins like Mitt and McCain. And that's all they knew. Before Trump, it was the only thing they knew how to do and it would have been what they would have continued to do. Trump is the only candidate that could have beaten her because he had exactly what it took.

Price gouging is already illegal in most states. You are confusing inflation with price gauging.

Do you mean gouging? Advocating for government to implement price controls is the furthest thing from “conservative” possible. Look up grocery store profit margins if you think grocery stores are price gouging. Gas is an inelastic (ie, no substitutions) good. The price fluctuates naturally with the market. In my tiny LA town, gas is ~$2.35 today. The average price in CA today is $4.35. Why is there a $2/ gal difference? Government interference with the free market in the form of taxes and regulations.

For a Reagan fan, you seem to have forgotten that “The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.”
