Well here you go:

quote:

The main problem with ethanol fuel is that it absorbs water from the atmosphere. Even fuel with a small amount or ethanol such as an E10 blend can absorb up to 50% more water from the atmosphere than gasoline.

So what’s the problem with water in your gas tank? Basically once the amount of water in the fuel reaches saturation point, it causes the fuel to separate into two layers; one thick and one thin. The thick layer contains gasoline and a small amount of ethanol. The thin layer contains water with ethanol. Even a small amount of water will cause this separation. Even in a modern sealed fuel system water can separate out, for example when there are changes in temperature.

I don't get it. Maybe he has some end game that I can't see but this is just really crappy economics.

A lot of people have this delusional idea that Trump is competent. There doesn't really seem to be a lot of evidence of that.

I think Trump is great and all, but the tariffs are BS. It's crazy to me how many "conservatives" are backpedaling away from capitalism and free trade and Trump is dead wrong on this issue.

Problem being we did not have our bases covered adequately in the bid phase? Although there were some unique external factors involved with this bid I am not here to argue this point with you.

The point is this issue would have came up regardless with this refinery for this project if they had used a US based fabricator. If they were aware of it during the bid phase and the fabricator passed this information along to the refinery, then the refinery would have issued to PO to a foreign fabricator, and it would have been a direct loss of work to the United States.

I'm not really sure what he has accomplished at this point that would lead you to say that he is great in spite of all of the trade war BS

The only good thing so far is the tax cuts

It separates dry sour gas from a dehydration facility

Were you born an idiot? Or did you acquire that trait over time? You freaking people are so anti-american that you think a multi decade problem that no other president would touch is not going to cause some hardships. It really just pisses me off going from a president that had the worst intentions for our country that I'm sure you deem as a genius. To a president that I truly feel wants this country to be in better shape going forward that you deem incompetent. I just wish you would just move to one of your utopia's that you think is out there and leave this country yo the people that truly love it.

You seem incapable of having meaningful thoughts

Whether Trump has good intentions or not isn't really the question at hand. I'm saying I don't think there is evidence that he is very competent. That has nothing to do with his intentions.

how is it free trade when the steel you sell overseas has a massive tariff applied and the steel foreign companies sell here does not. That's not free market or fair trading practice, and yet that's how it's been for 30+ years. Throw in the fact that lots of these European and industries are fairly government own and are subsidised with taxes specifically to keep us domestic production suppressed, and that's how you get the manufacturing Exodus and the huge trade imbalances

We actually just announced a 48in pipeline project. There is only one mill in the US that might be able to produce the pipe at the wall thickness and yield we require. If they can't do it, we'll have to go overseas. But we factored that cost into the project estimate.

Must be for oil coming down from Canada?

Say, just for giggles and grins. How does that stuff sell ... by the foot? The yard? The mile?

Also, if I may, what's the unit cost on something like that, that diameter and that thickness, roughly?

And you have no real agenda other that to prove that.

As you say Trump is not credible, we have the same issue with you. You will not convince us. We are not trying to convince you. You are damaged goods.

Have a good afternoon.

Speaking for him so he might have to correct me, but pipe typically comes in 20’ lengths. If you go directly to the mill you can get custom lengths, but I believe they won’t make them longer than 40’-45’ because of transportation issues.

There’s gotta be a solid Israeli company that can supply this. We used to get smaller pipe and fittings from Israeli connections and it was always excellent quality. Pricing was in between domestic and Asian imports.

Triple random lengths are ordered all the time for offshore projects or onshore projects accessible by rail. Double random lengths are normal for pipeline projects.
