I’ve never been like support all police. I dislike authority.

But I don’t think cops a thousand miles away from some dude overdosing on fentanyl should have bricks and Molotov cocktails thrown at them. A lot of people that put on that uniform do do their job to the best of their ability and do not deserve such treatment.

I'm torn on cops and I think a lot of the right is. I don't really trust them. But, Obama's rhetoric got cops killed in Dallas and Baton Rouge and that had me backing the blue. Defunding police is not the answer.

FBI and DOJ are nothing but an enforcement and cleanup team for the DNC right now. They can take the orange man down, but they are destroying their credibility in the process.

You're right, but I won't be throwing my hat in with the BLM crowd. Until the conversation is about equal protection under the law, and not about "pigs be racist," I'm not joining in.

I know what Slow's getting at in the OP. I may can quibble with some of it, but I probably generally agree with what he's getting at.

The problem, however, is that it is too easy for too many people to conflate what he's getting at.

Wholly disingenuous statement from you. You aren’t resolving your personal contradictory stances with this.

Teaching point huh

No conservatives are being blue pilled you dumbass. Your new voters come from the next stock of low IQ voters and dead people.

Don't conflate average joe policeman with a single employee at the FBI.

I'm not saying the upper management can't be used to nefarious deeds, but the police and the fbi are not the same. And the average policeman is good, so... Let's not get that shite twisted either.

State and local cops aren't routinely used to destroy political opponents.

They're used about as much as federal ones, just for state and local political opponents.

What’s the process of becoming a judge?

What steps must one take after graduating from college?

Depends on the state/jurisdiction.

Federal judges are appointed. Often district court choices are a coordinated effort b/w local federal Congressmen and the President's admin. There's an interview process then a judicial appointment/confirmation stage.

State judges vary by jurisdiction. They're elected in LA, from city to district all the way up to the supreme court. Some states are 100% appointed. Some are appointed at higher levels. Some have weird hybrid approaches.

Let's not overlook the Louisiana State Police.

I also have a problem with some of our judges. Some of these judges, and DAs, are corrupt beyond belief. Some of the local judges don't even do a full day's worth of work.

Yes. I think the polarization is a factor in our system’s demise.

It's always been polarized.

This is the problem that has made polarization worse. Destruction of the nuclear family, degradation of the church, identity above all, etc.

Your paraphrase from the National Review article is correct. I think we all like to live in the warm comfort believing that the US can and will go on as it has, but the country as it was founded and as we (at least until the mid 1980's were taught) grew up knowing it (or having faith that it was) is dead. The corpse is rotting and rotten and the maggots in Washington D.C. and across the U.S. are feeding on what's left.

That's too much for one post without me really cranking back, but within this specific area:

1. Search warrants must require a higher standard than probable cause. The "unreasonable" standard of the 4th Amendment should be clear/convincing at a minimum.

2. Any source used must be publicly named. All warrants must be public and provided to the person.

3. The items and areas within the structure must be specifically located. No more generic "there are drugs somewhere on this property" vagueness that permits a literal fishing expedition.

4. Scaling back of exceptions to the warrant requirement, especially with respect to cars. This isn't the 70s anymore and you can get e-warrants very easily and in a matter of minutes. The arguments the court used to expand policing power without warrants simply don't make sense today.

5. More expansive Civil and criminal actions for LEO who use warrants improperly. LEO should be held to the highest standards.

That's a downvote from me. Aren't you a lawyer irl? If so, I think this is a little irresponsible on your part.

You are doing what Democrats do, lump everyone together, and I wont do that. ALL LEOs are not bad
