So there are no mass shootings in these countries! Remind me again, how many people were killed in knife attacks and by terrorists using vehicles to kill people, bombings?

It’s not uniform, though.

My issue is with the 99 for the USA. We haven’t had 99 mass shootings, by any common sense definition of the term.

And a 100% ban on murder.

Weird. I guess laws only apply to law abiding citizens. Not criminals.

Who woulda thunk it?

Right

So what in your opinion explains the huge disparity in these events in our country?

For the purposes of the discussion we'll just ignore the picture in the OP since it has already proven to be inaccurate.

Funny how the meme doesn't say "has never had mass shootings".

Totaling in 7 people, the biggest in Australia since 1996. Let’s not really pretend there’s much of a comparison here.

This statement would make sense if the mass shooters in America weren't white

Their flag isn't on the image (conveniently perhaps)

The flag that you probably think is Australia is New Zealand.

Outside of the Aloha Snackbar attacks to they have some sort of pattern of random shootings like we have in schools?

Worst mass shooting in Australia in 20 years

quote:

Gun violence in Australia is rare, but when it does occur it is most often a suicide.

In 2016, the last year for which data is available, 238 people were killed by guns in Australia, compared with 38,658 for the same year in the United States.

Of those deaths in Australia, 183, or more than 75 percent, were the result of suicides.

People living in rural areas kill themselves at twice the average rate of those in cities, and farmers are particularly at risk, experts said.
