re: I Don’t Understand Trump’s End-Game with the Recent Military Pardons

SPECWAR should decide who participates on its teams in combat, and in preparation for assignment. Gallagher is doing neither, so SPECWAR should abide by command. SPECWAR should also damn well be interested in corruption employed to prosecute its members. Apparently, internal corruption has SPECWAR approval though.
Regardless, SPECWAR should respect the C-in-C, whether it be Eisenhower, Obama, or Trump.

That multiple SEALs testified against him as to the evil shite that he did.
Because SEAL testimony did not seem to go the prosecution's way.
In fact, SEALS refuted the prosecution's assertions.
And of course there was the tiny detail of prosecutorial corruption uncovered in the process.

Exactly. What I said in the other thread a few days ago on this is that at this point it doesn't matter if it's a good or bad decision by Trump. He made it, period, you carry it out. As much damaging social BS as Obama did to the military (women in the infantry, trannies, whatever) I never expected anybody in uniform to do anything but carry out his instructions or resign/retire on the spot. Those are your two options.
It's also more than a little troubling to see the justices in the court martial system as well as regular joes want to essentially ignore a verdict. "He was acquitted, but screw that" is a horrible position to take IMO. Yet that's what the first judge did.

Its a little known fact that the Obama Administration deliberately halted the advance of a lot of our best military officers. Obviously, if you halt their advance they will have to resign. Most, if not all, were conservative who they knew would not advance their "America is evil" agenda. Hundreds if not thousands of the best of our best were done this way. I have a relative that was the youngest Lieutenant colonel in the Army. He got swatted because of what he read from the army issued "handbook" on Muslims while teaching his men about different peoples.

First off you are full of shite. Secondly, if this were true, then the military swamp needs to be drained as well.

I spent 6 years in the Navy as a Nuke Electricians Mate and have zero problem with Trump pardoning someone.
I have a huge problem with an officer who violates the chain of command and am happy he got fired

Can we get it on record that you don’t think what Gallagher was accused of doing by his peers was bad?
Still waiting.

Draining the political correctness. If you can't take orders from CIC GTFO and STFU.

Maybe Trump should remember what a fricking concept of right and wrong is. Stabbing a POW and intentionally shooting civilians is fricking evil.
Lol. Them Terries was gettin' froggy so Gallagher did what any great American would do.
Remember, if you see Terries gettin' froggy, Draxx them Sklounst.
Also consider fire-boarding those mother-jammers, or hypothetical them in the clavicle.

I doubt it's true, and of those it applies to I wonder how many of them know the facts of the case. On the surface, I can buy that most people in the military don't want the POTUS micro-managing administrative decisions. I know I don't.
But this is not a normal case. This is treating a man who was acquitted as if he were declared guilty; there's no other way to frame it. I have a hard time believing most of the military is in favor of "you're guilty no matter what your jury trial verdict is".

I guarantee almost everyone on this message board who praises the pardons either didn’t serve, or was enlisted and never commanded troops at any level.
Do you people just make shite up. I was in the military and in combat and I like what he did. Obama pardoned a God Dam traitor and a transgender and you limp dick mother frickers were ok with that. frick you!

I know this is hard for you to understand, but maybe he just thought it was the right thing to do.

Do you agree with the pardons? If so, why?
Yes. The Rules of Engagement under Obama were weak and risked US lives. These troops were charged under Obama ROE. Trump let loose the Dogs of War. New Sheriff, new rules.
Did you serve in the military?

These pardons were for so-called crimes under the Obama administration. It was part of Obama's apology tour to the Middle East.

No. Accusations came up against these guys at the small unit level. There was no apology tour and the military is fine, Sr Officers are fine, and the “purge” nonsense is Cringe worthy even for this board.
