Those who think this was a good decision are the types who are going to vote for DJT no matter what he does. On the other half, the NeverTrumpers definitely won’t be swayed by this decision.

What he’s done is begin to alienate moderates and independents who were inclined to vote for him, but won’t now.

Basically every military officer I know disagrees with his decision to subvert the military justice process. Case in point is SECNAVY committing career suicide by refusing to implement the pardon. You think that decision was made on a whim? No; there were several Admirals who agreed with his decision to refuse the order, and supported him.

The fact the civilian leader of the entire Navy quit over it should be all you need to know. SECDEF himself, a former Army Officer, tried to convince DJT to let the military handle these cases 2 weeks ago.

Make no mistake, this decision is not nearly as popular in the military as Trump or his most loyal followers insist.

I guarantee almost everyone on this message board who praises the pardons either didn’t serve, or was enlisted and never commanded troops at any level.

The President can't subvert something that he is commander of.

If he goes to Ukraine and starts pardoning people, I'll hang up and listen.

99% of Americans aren’t even following this story you bloviating moron

The idea that this issue would alter someone’s voting decision is insane

Honestly, you should be EMBARRASSED to start this thread

And why must you lie about your “discussions with military officers”?

You haven’t talked to ANY military officer about this issue

Don't see this at all.

I just don't think the Pentagon is all that thrilled with DJT.

I also think those outside the walls of the Pentagon like Trump a lot more than those inside.

The military justice process is being subverted? Oh. Eight years of Obama era PC military leadership needs some subverting by the President

Are you as eager to defend military officers subverting orders from their superior? Because that is what these clowns are doing when they decide they can’t follow a direct order from the CAC

If some major or lieutenant did the same thing to them, the offending officer would get a close up look at military justice. Guaranteed

Can you provide a link to prove this statement so we can check for ourselves?

What would be a sufficient amount of troops to commander in your eyes?

Not directed to me but I’ll answer anyway.

Yes I agree with the pardons for a number of reasons.

First, the president is the commander in chief and is empowered by the Constitution to pardon anyone he damn well wants.

Second, the military justice system is a command driven structure that has largely succumbed to agenda driven purposes as of late.

There are many other reasons but I don’t have the time or desire to enlighten your dumb ignorant arse. So just frick off.

Not surprising given what I've seen out of our military lately.

This makes me very sad.
