Trump needs to stay the frick out of this. Gallagher is a psychopath who needs to get culled from the service.

He is; he's retiring. He's just retiring as a Chief with his SPECWAR rate intact.

I am aware, and he should be spending time in prison.

It was bullshite when Obama pardoned Manning.

This is also bullshite.

The only good that has come out of this is that the flimsy case against Golsteyn was dropped.

Maybe Trump should remember what a fricking concept of right and wrong is.

Is it right or wrong to charge only one man out of several for appearing in a picture with a dead combatant? The Navy effed this up, plain and simple.

Basically every military officer I know disagrees with his decision to subvert the military justice process.

Well I am not sure what POG officers you "know" or have talked to, but I can assure the door kickers love a CIC that has our backs.

The fact the civilian leader of the entire Navy quit over it should be all you need to know.

He quit? When right after he was fired?

Make no mistake, this decision is not nearly as popular in the military as Trump or his most loyal followers insist.

I have spoken with my active duty son. He is tip of the spear type and works only with the guys at the very tip of the spear and he tells me the guys he works with are more fired up than ever knowing they can do what they do best and their CIC has their back.

Yea, there's a bit more to it than that.

He was convicted of taking a picture with a dead terrorist! Unless you think the fact that he was found innocent of those other charges don't matter??

I didn't answer your question because it was a bullshite proposition.

Seven SEALs testified that he killed the prisoner.

Not at all. Are you under the impression that court martials are staffed by psychiatrists? A "psychopath" has a very defined criteria.

I'm starting to think he doesn't know what he's talking about. They didn't need "reams and reams" of evidence to convict him of posing for the picture; he didn't even contest that.

It's bullshite because you know the answer and you don't like it.

I'm aware of the details of this case; it doesn't sound like you are.

Uhhh... yeah. I'll give you a freebie, Fitz John Porter, but you'll have to do your own search for 1000's of others lazy Monkey.

Is there anyone on this board that still believes in "We The People"? Because this place has turned into an authoritarian cesspool on both sides, Left and Right.

No, I am very aware of the details of this case and, unlike most here, know UCMJ and how the courts martial system actually works. An eleventh hour reprieve from a medic granted immunity doesn't change testimony from seven other SEALs - or are they lying, too?

Is that why you post erroneous stuff like this?

Fact: the "reams and reams" of evidence led to an acquittal
Fact: his only conviction just required a simple picture which he didn't even contest

Don't be preaching to me a-hole when Bowe Bergdahl is walking the streets. Talking about a travesty of injustice, he fits the bill. That is one huge stain on Obama and his DoD that will never be forgotten.
