I don’t understand down votes on this board

Sometimes they don’t make any sense. Case in point.
Most of the time the downvotes make total sense from both sides but in this case the downvotes seem pretty high for this particular subject matter.
It makes you wonder if there’s such a thing as vote bots.

*ETA: and that post sucks. It's just random talking points without much logic or coherence outside of "Trump can do no wrong" and it completely ignores (I wonder why) the legit criticisms of big Spending Trump. Not being able to understand why some people would criticize that post gives high cult energy.

No really. If its a crap post with bad or missing logic down vote it.
If its a great case backed with facts, stats and sound reasoning, up vote.
Leftest positions cant be reasoned or presented as logical, thus frequently downvoted.
I think its pretty simple.

I only downvote board topic police, just because I think it the lamest thing to care about and to feel like you have to point out and cry about.
I don’t understand the general psychology of downvoting otherwise. I’m glad there are people who disagree with me on things. Why would I feel the need to go ‘Grrrrr!!!’ and hit a downvote arrow just cause they do?

I downvote every post that complains about downvotes.
The ones I downvote the most are the ones complaining about one or two downvotes of something that no one could be opposed to, like a dog saves a child. They stopped trying to twist logic weeks ago. Now it's just "I don't care about anything else, I support Trump." That first week with the tariff discussion was the end of reason for that crowd.
