What do you think would happen? Other than the US finally saving a lot of taxpayer dollars that could go back to the taxpayers.

No. Social security, pensions, Medicare, etc isn’t including. Nothing that was actually earned.

We are just talking welfare, government handouts, etc

Riots would be just the start. Remember immediately after Katrina when people in government housing with government paid utilities and government funded food stamps suddenly had no source of funding to survive? They were furious. People on welfare, especially the ones that had been on it for years, feel that they are owed these benefits. It is a fundamental right to them.

That’s what I thought. I think many are so used to it now, they feel that they’ll have it forever when it’s actually supposed to just be a temporary crutch.

But when the people who keep having to put the money in the coffers (ie the people that work for a living) want to stop, they’re the bad guys all of a sudden.

I'm not a fan of welfare in general, but the economy would be turned upside down in the beginning.

You also see a miracle of the “handicapped” people miraculously getting out of their wheelchairs and abandoning their crutches and canes too.

Two sides of the coin.

Stopping welfare will ultimately hurt both sides of the political spectrum.

Democrats use welfare more directly as a means to solace their base. Without it they can no longer shield the dependent side of base and have to address their failures for previous failed laws.

Republicans will be hurt indirectly. Losing welfare effectively means losing a scapegoat. So now there is no more excuse to not do things like improving infrastructure and bringing in businesses (or any economic reforms to hire people).

The cancellation of welfare would not effect the economy nearly as much as a federal quota on women buying stupid shite.

Riots, looting, and theft would be the initial reaction, but it would take a while bc these people wouldn’t know about it until that check didn’t show up.

After a few looters and thieves got shot, they’d settle down and get jobs. They would make their kids go to school and fricking learn, so they could learn a trade or go to college. Democrats wouldn’t win an election ever again once people learned the value of a dollar.
It would be a great thing if it happened.

The greatest thing that could be done to benefit this country the most would be to
1) make all government employee unions illegal and terminate all government union contracts, conditions and eliminate the entire structure of government employee tenure.
2) make the teacher’s unions illegal the same way
3) cut ALL funding to universities unless they Prove beyond any doubt, under the most extreme scrutiny, to being politically neutral.
4) loosen the laws regarding the media being sued for libel and slander. Make it illegal for news organizations to sell their reporting as political propaganda
5) completely eliminate 501-c3 non governmental political organizations and prosecute them as RICO cases
6) completely stomp out any form of Marxism in this nation, by arresting the organizations that finance Marxist groups and illegal immigration, as sedition.

This is the only way to keep the coming civil war, and destruction of this nation, from happening.
