No hunting/climbing stand is designed to be attached to the tree with a ratchet strap(s), which this clearly is. This looks quickly assembled and primitive. I don’t know in which direction this would move the investigation, but prints or DNA material should be easy to gather from the ratchet straps.

It's not in Lake Lytal. And there were items found with the stand that indicate it was for nefarious purposes.

I just read another article indicating the thing has been in the tree for months. I don't know if you've gotten that article yet. Yeah, the thing was right there adjacent to the Army Reserve building. There was even an article describing it as a "sniper platform".
