Doesn’t a computer shop have an obligation to report (to police, whatever) contents of a computer which has some of the pics, etc like Hunter’s did ?

This is an interesting development.
What if Hunter had a Bitcoin wallet on the laptop? Would the shop owner have claim to the Bitcoin? Just trying to stretch the analogy.

He did. He gave it to the FBI.
Which makes Hunter going after Rudy to get the contents declared inadmissible even more of a Hail Mary.

2. Where was the contents given to Rudy?

Huh? Hunter’s laptop is loaded with emails about his foreign business dealings. Those emails have been authenticated by multiple people.

Agree. Agree, when you have the greediest pack of weasels in your crew, $20m could disappear pretty quickly. Hunter seems like the kind of genius that would bet it all in a poker game and be broke by the end of the quarter.
