Hungary is not paying fine for refusing to take in immigrants

The ECJ found Hungary had committed an "unprecedented and exceptionally serious breach of EU law" by limiting a refugee's right to seek asylum.
Hungary has missed the first deadline to pay the €200 million fine imposed by the European Court of Justice (ECJ).
It's prompted Brussels to send a second payment request and it's set the stage for an impending head-on clash if Hungary doesn't pay up by the final deadline on 17 September.
If that happens the European Commission, which is compelled to ensure member states abide by ECJ rulings, will launch the so-called "offsetting procedure." It will then deduct the €200 million from Hungary's allocated share of the EU budget, parts of which remain frozen over the country's decline in its observance of the rule-of-law.
"There is no wiggle room here. We have to follow the applicable procedures," a Commission spokesperson said on Monday.

EU is falling apart. People are starting to open their eyes. Each country should do what is in the best interest of their citizens.

I imagine it's not long until the EU starts to remove EU benefits, and looks into if they can expel member states.
Hungary can do what it wants. Nobody forced Hungary to join the EU and get all the benefits from the association. They can leave, like the UK.

Sounds like someone who doesn’t care about being a member

A minor member like Hungary possibly leaving isn't exactly a sign it's falling apart.

Clearly Hungary likes the benefits of the EU and thinks those are in the best interest of their citizens

It was always going to fall apart, but this is speeding up the process. The only thing holding it together was Germany paying all the bills and that's going away soon.

Then why have they been telling the EU to frick off for years by not taking BO ridden Levantine and Africans?

You probably think NATO is in the best interests of the US citizens and we derive so many benefits from being a member. You are so fricking dense

They don't like the costs of EU membership. Only the benefits.
Why don't they just leave?

NATO is more symbolic than anything today.
The EU is much more important and in the best interest of the US and its citizens (and we're not members of it)

How many immigrants have you housed in your own home?
Good for thee but not for me. Typical liberal

What does this have to do with Hungary and the EU?

We’ve spent over $20 Trillion in the last 75 years in fricking NATO. That’s a lot of symbolism and money laundering.

They should pull out. It's not worth taking in immigrants long term.

We've spent that for the US.
Pax Americana, and all.
Look at our economy/SOL compared to everyone else (including Europe) and it's hard to argue the investment didn't pay us back.

And in similar reasoning, we should pull out of the United Nations entirely, demolish their headquarters, and send them packing to the real capital of the UN, the third world. That is an extremely dangerous group of people to even play around with, and our involvement in its founding to its present state is antithetical to our national sovereignty.

You get dumber every day.

The question is:
Why are there so many immigrants worldwide?
Think about that.....it is by design to infiltrate countries with different ideologies and change the view of the world.
