But the trend in developed countries is to reproduce, but at much lower levels.

People don't understand what happened to human population demographics after WWII. Regions with already high populations, like India and China (due to their historical reliance on rice which provides lots of nutrients in a much smaller space), underwent the stages of demographic transition. First you have a high birth rate and a high death rate. Advances in public health lead to a lower death rate while you continue to have a high birth rate. War, famine, and plague are not effective checks on this population growth either. Eventually you'll see these nations have low birth rates and low death rates, like China is seeing now, and like the West has seen since the 1960's.

The negative association with industrial development and fertility is widely known and accepted now, and that presents some massive problems. There are only 90 or so countries that are above replacement around the world, but those countries are primarily in Africa, and will represent an exceedingly large population. Those developing countries have to seek places to send their excess population capacity, either through worker agreements, or informally through illegal migration. Developed countries want the workforce but do not want to deal with any of the issues with integration.

Developing countries will naturally seek to export excess population through migration, in a pattern similar to the colonial powers, like France, who exported their own excess population capacity to places like Louisiana. Already developed countries want that population to expand their tax base and replace aging workers, but there is significant resistance. The best thing would be to create a worker system through international bodies which would allow migrants to get work in developed countries, while also developing capital networks in regions with high fertility rates. Investment in Africa is attempting to provide infrastructure, but no one has developed a plan for what to do about migrants seeking work in the developed world.

Industrial development is the key to curbing population growth, as if current patterns continue, you might see very few if any countries with total fertility rates above 2.1 by the end of the century. At that point who knows what will happen, as extrapolating the rates from the developed world shows massive population contraction.

Depopulate India, China, Bangladesh and the other east Asian countries.

Birth rates in the US, western Europe and Japan have been declining for years.

Every person who chooses to take this position should step up and go first....if they don't then question as why they wont?

I don't disagree with them.

What I shutter to think about is what their idea of a solution is.

And the poster above is correct, most if not all of these people are anti-war, anti-gun etc, Most of the things that contribute to depopulation.

The only thing I thing they probably oppose that helps in depopulation is anti-GMO foods which greatly increases the starvation world wide.

I notice none of them are offering up their own or their children's lives to help with overpopulation. They should set the example and kill themselves

If all the people who promote depopulation would start by killing themselves I think that would be considered progress.

It also shows you that they not only don’t believe in Western culture, they are actively working to end it.
