It seems like they want people to think twice before posting shite they don't like, even if behind anonymous social media accounts.

But there are people that do. I'm sure there are people on this forum just waiting for someone to drop just enough info so they can go after that person.
There are psychos everywhere.
Hell, just look at the OT.

I mean if she was out advocating for awful things to happen to private or semi-private people, then sure, out her. People who build celebrity for themselves and use it destructively shouldn't be able to hide behind a shield of anonymity (within some degree of reason).
Maybe she's doing that, but from what HuffPo has (and I assume they're only using the worst shite), she's no different than any other Trump-era twitter warrior who reposts stupid, borderline racist shite.
It pisses me off that she gives him an opportunity to lump all her beliefs in together (as though speaking out against genital mutilation is somehow akin to roasting a muslim over a pig). But it pisses me off more that that this douche is acting like he's engaging in journalism through his mischaracterizations and doxxing.

Oh I know. It’s why I’m careful what I post here.
I remember Fox Mulder trying to doxx Iosh one time. It was super weird.

Mekelburg named her organization Resistance Against Islamic Radicals (RAIR). She created a website, set up a Facebook page and a Twitter handle, and recruited Cortez to design artwork from behind bars, according to Galasso. RAIR’s mission would be “to stop the Jihadi infiltration in our American communities.” Mekelburg didn’t mention herself anywhere on the organization’s website. Under an “accomplices” section, however, she posted the names, photos and contact information for people and groups she believed were collaborating with jihadi terrorists. That could mean anyone with a connection to Islam.

Soliciting denunciations from members of the public had a Gestapo-Stasi stink to it, and RAIR’s roster of “accomplices” included city council members, rabbis, police chiefs, mosques, newspapers and other businesses. It looked like a target list. (During the reporting of this story, the contact information for the “accomplices” was removed from the RAIR website.)
Janet Lyness, the county attorney in Johnson County, Iowa, made the list because she donated to the campaign of Mazahir Salih, a Muslim woman who became the first Sudanese-American elected to public office in the United States when she won a city council seat in Iowa City last year.
RAIR
Lyness, who is the chief law enforcement officer for Johnson County, didn’t realize Mekelburg had targeted her until she was contacted by HuffPost.
“It concerned me seeing this, accusing me and all these other people of being jihadists,” Lyness said. “While it’s ridiculous, and everything she’s saying is false and ludicrous, I do wonder who might be reading this and might follow up and want to contact or threaten anyone on this list
frick her

Who is Ricky Vaughn? That was one of the big questions for anyone following far-right politics during the 2016 presidential election. The Twitter troll who took his name and avatar from Charlie Sheen’s character in “Major League” was everywhere on social media, an indefatigable circulator of edgy memes and rah-rah Donald Trump boosterism.

Hhhmmmmmm
This is where the writer attempts to steer the narrative.
You are still batting 0/10 on the troll.
You are going to have to step it up, Juice.

I'm not worried about her safety other than as it pertains to Islamists, who actually might kill her.
The problem is that handwringing douches like O'Brien would probably find the above statement offensive and will evangelize that cowardly worldview. Our society is chock full of spineless dorks who contribute nothing and actively work against acknowledgement of reality. At his very best, he's the same as her, most likely.

What's funny is these Twitter trolls were 100% Russian bots to these bloggers until they found out they were real people.
We'll just forget that, I guess.

to their credit, it’s eaiser to believe they are Russian bots than real people

So you’re assuming his account is correct, and hers isn’t?
Why is that?

I guess. But for every crazy person like this chick, there's one just as crazy at the other extreme. But somehow, only one is a Russian bot. It's somewhat an admission that they can't believe a real person could think in such stark contrast to themselves, while the other side clearly is just a genuine member of #resist.
Seems unlikely to me.

Didn’t the Russians have Hillary bots too though?

No, they want to end people they disagree with.
Its a scary thing that the media has the power to end people's lives due to politics

If true, the frick that guy.
However, seems questionable.
Definitely more to the story.

Apparently some of these Russian bots are actually regular old crazy Americans with wild opinions.

It’s true. He doxxed her. He went so far to find out her brother owns a craft beer bar in Brooklyn.
Like why?

It is what it is and people no longer worry about situational awareness. You have to CYA on social media when you decide to wade into the cesspool of politics.
