I'm sure he called them up, acted like he was an important person from a big time news source, and told them that having an employee associated with a "popular online racist" would look bad for them, especially if he leaked their name to the public.
Look, even if she is a horrible racist, doxing her and getting a man fired from his job is beyond the pale. That's his livelihood, food out of his children's mouths. It shows an utter lack of journalistic integrity, but since they are Trump supporters, nothing will happen.
