It’s really a shame that we as a country are becoming so desensitized to shootings like the one last night. Regardless of your political beliefs (I’m a conservative and pro 2A), but it is very clear there is a problem.

And I do not believe Washington is interested in stopping or finding a solution to the problem because it has become a hot button issue that is being used to push forward political motives and line their pockets. Reason why — it’s the same song and dance every time. “Oh, thoughts and prayers, thoughts and prayers.” Most people’s thoughts and prayers are bullshite to make their narcissistic self feel better. It’s nothing more than “look at me! Like my Facebook post! Thoughts and prayers!”

So what would you do or how do you think we can prevent it?

More concealed carry.

Like voting, it is more of a duty than a right.

Impossible to stop in a society that values freedom. Best way to respond is to have armed citizens on scene to engage.

giving it the same media treatment they decided to give streakers wouldn't hurt. That worked wonders.

IDK. If someone is bound and determined to carry out a mass shooting there is really noting that can be done unless you are a pre-cog.

Impossible to stop people who have no sense of self preservation.

This my thought as well, and I like to point at the Boston Marathon as an example of when people are determined to do something how far they’ll go.

Nothing they had (nails and a pressure cooker) were illegal or even deemed dangerous, but yet they were able to and hurt however many people it was. It’s why I don’t really believe guns are the issue.

Instead of banning guns, why don’t they just ban murder????

Just like that shithole London, once the guns are gone, knives will be the next frontier

And then

Someone shoots them before it becomes a mass shooting.

The Elephant in the room is the lack of metal healthcare facilities available and how liberal judges have protect the “civil rights” of mentally disturbed individuals over the safety of public at large.

I can assure you one thing. Thoughts and prayers, which is all conservatives have to offer, isn't going to stop it. Having everyone packing heat isn't going to stop it. That wild west mentality is only offered by mental midgets. This country is already loaded with enough guns to give every man, woman and child a gun, and it doesn't make us safer.

Nothing is going to change and we will continue being a joke around the world. But hey, we're #1.

I think you have to look at who is mostly carrying out these shootings? White males

What is happening that cause white males to shoot unarmed people? Once this question is answered we will probably see a decline

Gang Violence is Turf war where both parties are trying to established power. Their are some innocent bystanders, but like the synagogue shooting, school shooting, kroger shooting, Vegas shooting, now this club shooting, the shooter is targeting these people for whatever reason.

In the month of October, 11 police officers were shot.....So the logic that everyone should carry a gun doesn't seem like it holds value when police have been shot as well and they carry guns.....

mandatory open carry for all U.S. citizens, who are not incarcerated or convicted felons who have not completed parole, at all times in all places
mandatory gun safety and marksmanship training in all schools
make concealed carry a crime punishable by death
legalized dueling

I see the typical solution to gun violence is more gun violence idiotic talk in here. These people want to die, and you think more guns firing back at them is going to prevent anything? Get real. How are guns going to stop a bomber? They're not.

This is a mental health issue. It is a healthcare issue. It is not a war. Stop viewing the ill, the people who need help, as the enemy.

have you ever compared the number of people killed in gun related deaths to the number of people estimated to be saved by people with guns in this country?
