Agreed. But that’s non-responsive to my question. I understand why. It wouldn’t help your “argument.”

What belief of mine do you fancy yourself challenging here?

Oh good grief.

How is paying less for illegals the equivalent of Mexico actually paying for the wall? Many of our illegals aren’t even from Mexico.

I followed everything closely in 2016. There weren’t any esoteric qualifiers on how it would happen.

Love you silly MF’ers. There are many ways that people, companies or countries end up paying for things. Not all is by direct debit, cash or check. That you can’t understand that is a you problem

thank you!!
what were people thinking Trump meant when he made that comment????
there’s plenty of ways we could get them to pay. raise tariffs, charge fees to enter the country legally, etc.

You really can’t wrap your mind around it? Illegal Immigrants coming to the US through Mexico aren’t getting in anymore anywhere near the rate they were. How much does that save us? Where do you think they go?

you expected Mexico to cut a check? Good Lord.

As an aside…how much was the wall?

you can't ask questions like that, the echo chamber can't allow it.

Don’t tell this to OP. He’s the most surface-level thinker on earth.

Correct. It also doesn’t hurt to honestly acknowledge answers when they are forthcoming. You received that in the 1st 3 responses to your OP. Yet, you persist, asking if "That $61BB went towards wall construction?"

That $61BB would not exist but for changed (Trump) policy toward Mexico. It covers the border wall expense 4-times over.

Correct.
So oddly, now that it has happened, you seem to desire to attach those esoteric qualifiers.

Estimates say we have between 5.5 and 6 million (we all know it’s actually higher) Illegal Immigrants here from Mexico. We’ve essentially been conquered and Mexico certainly hasn’t paid for the wall like we were told.

Show me where you are getting this number of $61 billion?

Remittances to Mexico were in the mid $60 billion range before Trump took office. So if remittances are down $61 billion, they are basically close to zero now, which definitely is not the case.

Just show me your math.

Don’t challenge him like that. He never hears of Accounting 1001. Nor 101 either.

Didn’t take the class.

Those rallies were campaign events. Lots of promises are made that will never be fulfilled.
