I can’t get a good answer due to the fog of leftist spin.

How much money have we received from Mexico or kept from going to Mexico and diverted to wall construction?

Remittances are down $61BB so they’ve paid for it about 10x over.

Any more stupid questions?

Love you silly MF’ers. There are many ways that people, companies or countries end up paying for things. Not all is by direct debit, cash or check. That you can’t understand that is a you problem

Not sure what Mexico’s share is but the US collected roughly $195 billion in tariffs in 2025. The 2025 budget legislation included roughly $46.5 billion for border barrier construction.

They are paying. But not the way you think.

You don’t speak Trump.

He said paid, but what he meant was ‘cost them’.

Educate me por favor.

Because on the surface this all seems like revisionist wordplay, and I voted for Trump thrice.

That’s not what I recall him meaning in 2016.

You need a Trump translator app.

It’s standard equipment for males with toxic masculinity.

I had ChatGPT help me break it down.

*Greater deployment of Mexican National Guard and immigration personnel to interdict migrants before they reach the U.S. border.
* Higher Mexican spending on detention facilities, transportation, and migrant processing.
* Reduced illegal immigration, potentially lowering future remittance flows to Mexico.
* Increased scrutiny of remittances and proposals for taxes or fees on money sent abroad.
* Pressure to accept deportees from the U.S., including some non-Mexican nationals in certain circumstances.
* Expanded cooperation against drug cartels, including fentanyl trafficking and precursor chemicals.
* Increased inspections of cargo and commercial traffic, raising compliance costs for businesses.
* Tariff threats or trade leverage used to encourage Mexican cooperation on immigration.
* Costs to Mexican border cities housing migrants awaiting processing or repatriation.
* Lost labor supply as fewer workers migrate illegally to the U.S.
* Greater intelligence sharing and joint law enforcement operations, requiring additional Mexican resources.
* Pressure on Mexico to dismantle migrant caravans before they reach the U.S. border.
* Increased enforcement against human smuggling organizations operating in Mexico.
* Economic uncertainty for industries that depend on cross-border labor migration.
* Diplomatic concessions made to preserve broader trade and security relationships with the U.S.

Not all costs are direct costs. Accounting 1001.

Cool. Another concerned conservative lecturing us that nothing is happening.
Did you think he meant Mexico was going to cut us a check and mail it to DC?

They have already lost more in remittances in addition to having to tend to the millions trying to get from Central America to the US.

That is now their problem and not ours costing them millions, if not more, in processing and/or shutting their southern borders to not let them into Mexico. Remember, until 2025, they just walked/swam across from Mexico and became dependents of US Taxpayers.
