How many states would honestly ban abortion if roe v Wade is struck down?

I’d say 5 or 6 max

This is why the debate over Wade is so stupid

The vast majority of women would still live in a state that has legal abortion. The states that ban abortion, like Nebraska and South Dakota, would be states where women are morally opposed to it anyway and don’t get them

Too many young people and liberals think roe v Wade is the only thing separating legal abortion from illegal abortion.

Louisiana is basically voting on it right now.

Less than 5.

Alabama
Mississippi
Louisiana
Arkansas

Probably another 20 would have significant restrictions.

RvW is not going to be *struck down*. It will be sent down to the states for their own interpretation. RvW isn't going anywhere.

IMO, I think the supreme court needs to codify what *life* means though...

Agreed. Roe is bad Law. Should be decided by the States.

There are states with so-called trigger laws that instantly ban abortion the moment Roe is overturned.

"In the United States, ten states — Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Dakota, Missouri, Tennessee, South Dakota and Utah — have trigger laws that would automatically ban abortion in the first and second trimesters."

LINK

Beyond that - South Carolina might. Alabama might. Oklahoma might.

What is with the left's push with using abortion as a birth control metric/

I have really stayed far away from this forever, but the left's infatuation with baby murder is incomprehensible.

I'd say 20-25 states. Plenty of places will be left to murder innocents.

I believe you can add Missouri to your list.

Even more than the fact that there are probably about a dozen states that might an enact anti-abortion laws, the largest GoFundMe page in the history of the country would be formed.to fly any girl over 11 years old to a state that allows anyone to get a an abortion at any time - without any requirement that her parents even know that she's pregnant.

SCOTUS can’t codify anything. That’s up to the legislature.

Second, criminal laws, with some exceptions( none of which apply here) are left up to the states through the 10th amendment. It would go back to the states.

The ones who have abortions and “brag” about it are just disgusting. I don’t know how anyone could have an abortion and not want to kill themselves from the guilt.

If how voting in our only national election, a president, is okay for states to make their own rules on how to administer those votes then it should be acceptable that states make their own decisions about abortion.

Kentucky would. It’s a short trip over the Ohio River, though, so no one wanting an abortion would be significantly impeded.
