Is that all you've got, just declining to voluntarily submit the tax info is the sole incriminating act? Nothing specific as in "I suspect abc will be in there which could prove xyz"? Pretty weak if so.

Because if I were advising Trump on the subject I'd urge him to never volunteer anything and make them succeed in convincing their way through the court system, as a direct consequence to their blatant and heretofore unjustified efforts to politically damage the President with each and every scheme they've come up with so far. Not a single legitimate effort thus far, every single thing's been political smear.

Come up with something specific and credible potentially in those tax records and I'll review my position.

For those that don't realize it, Trump wants this to be law. Not just for the president but for congress as well. He isn't turning over HIS tax returns so that they will make it a law to do so.

Trump is clean with his taxes be he know congressmen and women are not. If he turned his over voluntarily then the dims would NEVER have to turn over theirs.

This may very well be a key factor in their strategy on this subject, but I also think there's another very important one as well. Trump doesn't want to be the President who future Presidents will blame for squandering Presidential privilege and immunity. I've heard him say the exact correct thing when it comes to these challenges to Presidential immunities: That he has a duty as President to protect the Office of the Presidency which means fighting for and protecting privilege and immunity. And he's 100% right about that, he does indeed have that duty and obligation. Now, if the courts ultimately order the President to hand over certain things, so be it....as long as he fought the good fight.

TRUMP should just turn over fake tax returns like Obama's fake birth certificate.

Couldn’t he just show the main 1040 front and back page.

He should have a presser on Tax Day and say Here is my Tax Return, and have a bunch of hot interns wheel out banker boxes of paper and say this is my Tax return every year. It is a complex return and every year it gets audited and the numbers change even after filing due to amendments. But out of the interest of fairness, I will show you 2 pages. The front and back of my 1040 as it stands today on tax day.

It's yet another attempt by Nazi scum to derail Trump.

Once you understand that everything they view is thru a lens of hate for Trump and the country, almost any question you have will be answered.

What’s the Facebook meme?

We shouldn’t worry about the tax returns of a billionaire that became president, we should worry about the senator that became a millionaire while in office

The leftists know that no one will be able to understand the returns so they have free rein to spin whatever bullshite they want.

That was glorious, big prime time set up to only find that Trump Paid a shite load of taxes.

Rachel Maddow embarrassed herself and MSNBC Tuesday night when she hyped the fact that she “got Trump tax returns,” only to reveal two pages from the president’s 2005 1040 form. Those two pages revealed President Donald Trump had made $150 million in 2005, deducted $100 million in losses, and paid $38 million in taxes.

Not the damning evidence the Left was looking for. Instead of proving, as Democrats had alleged throughout the 2016 election, that Trump hadn’t paid taxes in decades, Maddow revealed that Trump had paid taxes—and at a larger share of his income than President Barack Obama or Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Exactly, the left/media will take the return and spin it, as can be seen above.

Note:The $100 million 'deduction' was mostly cancelled out by the AMT. You don't need to be a tax expert to figure this out. Just look at the big picture, $150M - $100M = $50M. $38M paid on $50M would be a 76% tax rate (heck you don't even need a calculator, just double and move decimal point). There's no such tax rate for that year.

And it it was $150M after the 'non-deduction' (I' don't recall offhand), that would still be 38/150 = 25% tax rate, I'd have to check, was 27% the top bracket? If so, he could have filled it to 25% average. But that makes the point, he paid a solid rate on a lot of income, a higher rate than most of those clamoring for Trumps taxes. But all I heard from the left/media was "$100M deduction!" (fake news).

Memory refresh LINK - yes, it was $150M income, $100M 'deduction' that was mostly unwound by AMT, so $38M tax on $150M income ~ 25.3%.

How many presidents worked in the public sector making govt. salaries and left govt. service millionaires?

Wouldn’t it be best to make ex presidents show us their financial information after they retire? What they make before they go into public service is really none of our business.

If you know Congress' goal is multi-year investigations and/or impeachment, which are lined up ready to go merely awaiting any sort of reason whatsoever, why would one voluntarily walk right into that?

Wouldn't make much sense.

So Trump simply asserted that it's all there for the taking once they successfully convince the courts of a legitimate basis. If it isn't a fishing expedition but rather a truly legitimate purpose, then of course they shouldn't have any trouble convincing the courts of same. But as it turns out, they clearly haven't had a legit basis. That's on them.

Keep what a secret?

All of his information (just like yours and mine) was entered on a form and submitted to a government agency.

The same government agency that fricknuts had control over for 8 years....and if you think one of his buddies didn’t have a peek - you are a moron.
