unrelated note.
me and wifey watched Good Morning America this morning. 2 hour version for whatever reason. 2 hours and not a single mention of today being the 76th anniversary of D-Day, where 1,913 young American men died in a matter of hours fighting true evil for our freedoms.
not even a 1 minute segment? can't even mention it? just COVID and racism talk for 2 hours. sigh.

Quit Hollywood over a decade ago. It's mindless drivel.

The NFL needs to tread lightly.

I thought you wimps turned off the NFL several seasons ago??

People can kneel that’s their right
I think it’s bullshite to do so, same with dropping or disrespecting the American flag. I’ve folded many flags for the loved ones of many deceased service members. So these entitled pricks can frick off

The white audience isn't going anywhere. They just want to say they stopped watching on the internet.

I literally couldn’t care less what they do. Results are the only thing I care about.

I don't give a shite if someone takes a knee when they hear a song. That's their right. I don't want to live in a country where someone is forced to do something out of respect for the country.
That being said, last year I missed 2 Saints games for the first time since I started watching football (around 2001), and only watched a handful of other games. Mahomes and Lamar are 2 bright spots for the NFL, but the league as a whole has lost it's value by throwing a flag on every other play and handcuffing defenses.

I no longer have a favorite team in the NFL.
NFL is dead to me.
Brees was final nail.

I watch it for the same reason which is why when I’m watching and reminded 50 times during the pre game, commercials in game, and post game that I’m a racist because I’m white, I lose interest. Not a snowflake. Just a regular guy with a family chugging along trying to do my best to get through life and enjoy it. I have enough distractions with all of that and don’t need it when I just want to watch football with my kids.
To each his own. I don’t begrudge anyone for not caring that it’s political - it’s just not for me. My kids play tackle football as well so it’s not like I don’t enjoy the sport.

What's the deal with folks starting political threads on the OT, catching some logical yet critical comments, and then turning into a complete bitch when they can't defend themselves? This is like the 3rd thread I've read today where it happened.
Perhaps you should go back to the political talk where you'll drown in hundreds of up votes and no dissenting opinions.

Nobody cares if you walk out the stadium if you already bought the ticket.

They’ll tell you shortly that they welcome dissenting opinions and that there are plenty of arguments on the poliboard. Which is ironic because a) all poliboard arguments eventually devolve to some form of “trumpkin” vs. “scum”, and b) this thread is about tuning out opinions you don’t like.

I've said it in another thread, but I'm conservative and typically vote R, yet the political talk is such an embarrassment to this site it should be spun off.
When it bleeds over into other forums you can immediately sense the IQ getting lower. That's not even an insult, it's a fact.

That's ridiculous. Will never watch that show. Seldom do now, but like Finebaum, I will flip the channel if it ever comes on.
