And who did you vote for? The Democrats?

Thats the problem with Ronbois, you lack reasoning skills

I clearly said you kept voting for the Bushes in 3 elections, and probably 4 with Jeb in the primaries. But somehow you draw the line at Trump

What a farce

Most of the "conservative" never Trumpers are longing for the comfort and normalcy of the old Recucklican party. They want a Recucklican party of the Bushes, Romney, Karl Rove, Nicole Wallace, Michael Steele, Joe Cuckborough, Adam Kinzinger Lizzie Cheney, Dick Cheney, etc.

FAR FAR better than their opponents = in every respect. Remember - these elections are binary choices - always choose the least evil.

That’s what some conservatives just don’t get. Any Republican is better than the democrat alternative in today’s world. May not be much better, but one of them is getting elected. Least evil is a good way to sum it up. And not voting is just helping the most evil (democrats). I’m not a fan of Bush knowing what I know, but if it got down to a choice between him and Biden, I’d dam sure pull the lever for Bush.

Not fond of Trump

I get it. Trump regularly says things that are cringeworthy. That doesn't mean they aren't true, just that certain things are better left unsaid because it comes across as unpresidential and gives the wacko media more fodder to stir up shite. Trump has also proven that despite his track record of surrounding himself with the best people in his business career, he surrounded himself with a lot of incompetent, disloyal, and traitorous boobs during his term in office. Despite all his shortcomings, Trump did more for the good of this country and the people in it than any president in my lifetime, including Reagan. All while being battled at every turn by the media, the Democrats, and quite a few of his own party.

But all that aside, how any rational person who values their personal freedom and the basic tenets upon which America was founded can even consider voting for Biden or any other Democrat simply does not compute.

never own up to voting for past proclaimed conservatives.

I "own up to" having NEVER voted for one Democrat in all my history - dating back to 1960. (applies only to national and state offices - have voted for dems in local elections - mostly because they are the only ones on the ballot and I have to pick the least evil amongst them - besides there ARE some good democrats at the LOCAL level)

and I will NEVER vote '3rd party' as long as that action is merely an opposition to the GOP candidate.

The object is to protect the union - at the moment.

The time for looking after the FUTURE is found in the PRIMARY system.

When it comes to the GENERAL election the time is for the PRESENT time.

I don't care if the captain of the ship screwed my wife and daughter - IF he is the only one who can get us out of the storm, then I'll settle up my personal grudges with him later.

Get out NOW and talk to people = convince them of who are the good candidates. Make good choices in the PRIMARY of your party.

When that time has passed - Don't vote for Hitler just because Eisenhower got to lead the invasion instead of Patton.

It is that simple - vote for least evil when you are down to only 2 choices.

"writing in" a candidate or some 3rd party ego stroke is merely that - a 'virtue signal' indicating you don't really care what happens to the country at large.

Pretty simple logic for anyone with true passion for the future of the nation.

The large majority of Trump supporters over the age of 35 or so voted for W, strongly supported W and probably backed the War in Iraq over the Code Pink libs in the 2000s

Wrong on some of that, right of on some of it, but acting like it never happened is stupid.

Those elections are decades apart my guy.

Pretty much no one other than life long Republican politicians who have been in Congress since the Reagan administration hold the same exact beliefs today that they held in 1988.

Yes I mostly vote for Republican candidates, no I wouldn’t vote for Trump. Lots of conservatives and republican voters feel that way about Trump.
