For the majority of Government workers this is simply not true.

I worked with them, they are slubs.

1 in 10 work there asses off, the other 9 of 10, find one or two roles, then if work comes to them outside that role, the standard response is, ‘that’s not my job’

Tax collectors have been hated since Jesus Christ walked the earth.

Dealt with IRS, Social Security office, moms Medicare, bidding process for Navy, etc., all of it is/are/was a test of patience to say the least. The sloth in Zootopia isn’t far off.

Post office is low hanging fruit and a special kind frustration.

The government workers I know complain constantly about their fellow government workers and how they abuse FMLA, sick leave, etc. They are forced to take up the slack.

The folks (6) I've worked with SS for my special-needs daughter, have all be exceptional.

There is one other point I'd like to make about each of them, having met an worked with, in person - but I can't ... and I think you can infer why.

Generally depends on their level but some are more dedicated than others.

Since leftists want to not include anyone they perceive not to be a leftist in things like government work (because we mostly espouse efficiency), the spirit of civic duty has waned quite a bit in this country.

As such, most government workers have degenerated quite a bit.

Feds pay very well after a few years of rising up the G level ladder.

Yeah not for anyone technical (engineers especially). For reference max pay caps at $195k (GS15) even in NYC, lower elsewhere. Most engineers never make GS15, more like GS12 especially if they never touch management, which is $135k/yr. Good luck finding someone with a PE license in NYC for $135k/yr.

Statements like this are representative of the vast majority of Trump supporters.

What do you do for a living? I bet it’s nothing that requires much brain power. Baw power maybe.

I reckon you have a miserable life and need someone to blame. But instead of recognizing your situation is result of late stage capitalism you cling to your guns and bibles and hate of those you don’t understand.

I’m eager to see how you and yours justify American oligarchs’ actions when AI takes your jobs.

I’m sure it will be because of trannies.

Your "message" won't resonate here, non-lurker. At least 75% of us are on board with the Trump/Elon/DOGE mission to cut out waste and fraud, and streamline our federal government. That includes the reduction of unelected, fat-cat bureaucrats.

Heh contractors don't have that luxury.

We let a guy go last month because he claimed he was only a security engineer (pen-testing) and refused to help diagnose some somewhat common network issues.

Please let us know when we start firing nuclear physicists or "bird flu scientists."

Depends on the VA. People come from other states to the VA I’m at since it’s so much better.
