Trump was talking and cutting jokes, most of them looked like they would rather pass a kidney stone than crack a smile. God forbid one of their homies see them on TV and think they didn’t hate OMB.
Trump was one of the baddest, coolest guys in the hood since before the guys were born. Every "playa" wanted to be like Trump until he became President and was all of the sudden a racist.

Why do you think this about Trump? only Trump thinks everything is about him. Get a life.

other athletes have refused to go because of their dislike for him
You are referring to professional athletes that already have millions of dollars, and their image won't necessarily be affected by their decision. In terms of college athletes, they don't have that type of leeway. Plus, I believe Coach O prohibited anyone from subjectively declining the event and said they would all go as a team. They represent the university more than themselves at the moment. And, as I said earlier, there is an unfair label that athletes get when they decline these types of invitations.

How? He was sued Twice Bc he didn’t want blacks living in his apartment complex? He pushed for the death penalty for the 5 blk guys who was wrongly convicted. His dad was in the kkk. So you really think African Americans thought he was the coolest?

I would imagine the majority of those players enjoyed meeting President Obama much more than meeting trump. It goes without saying, no matter what the majority on this board think.

LSU players didn’t want to be there. Look at the difference between meeting President Obama and Trump.
What is your deal dude? Your entire posting history is just virtue signaling. But to your point, do I need to pull up the videos of our players doing the "get the gat" dance with Trump staffers? Give it a rest

You can't be a real person and, if you are, you are very young and/or extremely uneducated.

Was that the first time Obama ever touched a football. Or at least wasn’t having one shoved up his arse by his man wife?
Yeah, I’d much rather meet a dick with ears than a baller billionaire who’s done it all. If that’s the case, college is not helping these idiots.

THEY DIDN'T DROP OUT FOR POLITICAL REASONS!!!
They want to protect their draft stock and not expose themselves to injury or chinavirus, especially for a meaningless season.

Yep. frick'em. Go find your fortunes elsewhere. No one gives a shite or will remember their names. Same for anyone at Arkansas that wants to pull this shite. I don't give a shite if I every watch another pro/college game of any kind unless a school/team only recruits constitutionalist patriots. I wish Arkansas would tell them all the frick off and get ready or get going. We're already shite arse bottom of football. Get some real men in here and get rid of all these whiney arse little bitches. The school that does this will wreck shite like some old Nebraska and Oklahoma teams. Disagree? frick off.

Do you think Trump dressed the table?
Government was closed at the time. So yeah, he did. He chose the menu.

What do you think happens during these events?
Not what happens in Forest Gump, that's for sure. Usually in and out as you aren't the only thing on the agenda.

What Alabama players said that?
This part I'm blanking on and Google isn't being my friend this AM. One of their players, during the dust up about the Clemson fast food buffet, tweeted about how the staff kept saying, "don't touch anything" and that they were lucky to get a cold sandwich if that.
I just hate that everything and I mean EVERYTHING has gotten so political. Watch awards shows from 20 years ago. No one gave a frick. Watch classic ESPN with Patrick and olbermann. It was all jokes and highlights.
Would just prefer this corner of life, where it all happens on the field, would stay away from it all.

Yeah, looks like they were having a horrible time dancing with a hot arse MILF. You people are deranged!

The president has an influence on the menu, but it is a mixture of his tastes and the guests of honor. Even though there was a governmental shutdown, there was still more than enough of a team of staff to dress the tables and organize everything. All Trump has to do is show up, offer a few words, take a few pictures with the team, and then yes head back to taking care of business. It's all about diplomacy.
As far as politics being in everything these days, that is a discussion for a different day. I have mixed feelings on that and that people should maintain certain rights to express their opinion on any platform that they choose. As well as certain issues aren't political they are social that eventually lead to political dialogue. I understand your point, for someone as yourself, to experience the stark difference between back then and now I'm sure it's nauseating.

So are you supposing that someone is to give up a once in the lifetime opportunity to venture inside of one of our nation's most iconic historical landmarks in a team celebration just because they don't like a person there?
It's all racist! Merica sucks!

You said meeting Trump. They weren’t getting the gat with Trump. And they were getting the gat Bc they didn’t want to be there so they had to entertain themselves!
