you support Trump?

I have indulged a friend with "Pity Posts" for some time now with the hope that his deluded rants about Trump would end.

I was wrong.

Today, he jumped the shark and implied that my family, my friends, and I were racists because we may support Trump.

Sorry, I don't take that from anybody. Just curious how many others have seen this extreme form of vile come from "friends" .

How many have “jumped the shark” and talked politics where they regret it?

You aren’t changing anybody’s mind. Certainly not here or on Facebook or at a bar or at thanksgiving. Be better off talking politics with somebody who doesn’t talk politics much.

People whom I may befriend know my thoughts on politics - especially social policy - pretty quickly, so I don’t have many true libs hanging around.

I have acquaintances that I rarely or no longer associate with because I know their political leanings and quite frankly their presence in my life is not very meaningful... I had just rather avoid the confrontation...

Friends? We all pretty well lean the same way...

Now, I do have a crazy arse SIL that doesn't eat meet, loves to hug trees, hates the military, married a male pussy, hates guns, votes democrat, is still "with her", etc, etc, etc... Since I ran her and her pussy husband out of my house last Thanksgiving (I swear I tried to be nice for my wife's sake), I have not heard a word about my being a "racist", "homophobe", "bambi killing", "warmonger", "intolerant SOB"....

I don't Facebook and decided a while back that I won't until I'm retired.

Then I'm going to go full troll mode on some dumbass family of mine.

I lost a life long best friend and so did my wife. The R word was thrown around by my wife’s friend.

Although I disagreed with those who supported Obama I never made it a personal beef with them but rather just agreed to disagree. If a friend told me I was a racist for supporting Trump they would no longer be a friend. You are perfectly within your right to dislike the President and that does not bother me but when the attacks become personal against me I draw the line.

Not jumped the shark per se, but I have a handful of guys from the Army who I was close with & in a annual fantasy football league/group chat with where our friendship/relationship has faded. Nothing malicious has been said directly to each other, but we have slowly stopped talking as frequently as we used to. All of the Latin vets in the chat are Pro Trump or at the very least support the current president and don't want this country to fail. 3 of the 4 black vets are anti Trump and wouldn't care if The U.S imploded as long as 45 failed. Needless to say, most of that group doesn't shoot the shite on anything except for football anymore. And even then it's not what it was. It is what it is. We're all man enough to be civil towards each other, but the friendships aren't what they were. By all accounts, we're fine with that.

Oh no, he IMPLIED that you were racist? Are you ok? Take some Midol and the pain will pass in a few days.

Also, you seem to be infatuated with the misuse of the phrase jump the shark.

Nope. Because they would get a stern reminder on what true racism is: the belief that minorities are less than human.

They would then be challenged to demonstrate how Trump it I have acted consistent with that.

Just one. The dude was saying "n***** this, n***** that" all the time throughout college just a few years ago and now he actually works as a low level Democrat staffer in DC

But anyways he was posting shite that conflated antifa with WW2 soldiers because theyre both "fighting nazis." This was during all the statue nonsense. Well a few days later was when the Cajun Navy started saving all those poor black people in floods. I sent him a few pictures and said to look at all those white supremacists saving blacks out there and we haven't spoken since.

frick off. I asked a legitimate question. Since you seem to be familiar with Midol and it's uses, maybe you should stock up. I've never needed it.

I have some friends that listen to rap music and when they sing along songs they listen to they use the word that cannot be said. I’m kinda concerned whites sing to songs with the “word that cannot be said” in it.

I just stick to country music like a non racist would

I've been a libertarian for over a decade who openly advocates for the full legalization of private discrimination, including discrimination due to race. And yet not a single one of my friends has ever called me a racist. Makes me think that some of you just might be going a bit further than "supporting Trump" when people are accusing you, tacitly or explicitly, of being a racist...
