How long has it been since someone you know of has died from the China Virus?

I don’t even know how long it’s been since I’ve heard of anyone dying from Covid. Does anyone on this board know anyone (extended friends, elderly people, even nursing home patients) who have died of Covid remotely recently?
A friend who’s a doctor was telling me around a year ago that coronaviruses generally get much less severe as they mutate, and I feel like we’re seeing that now. Not only do I not know of anyone who’s died from it in months, if not a year or more, but I don’t even know of anyone who has been legitimately sick from it.

The 23 year old Alabama fan 3 days ago.
Weird circumstances. Yes, he's overweight, but allegedly was fine one day and died the next. Covid was blamed, but also pneumonia.

To my knowledge, it has not happened and probably never will.

I don't know anyone, personally, who died from it. Only a couple of folks got relatively sick.

3 weeks. My wife's dad got it early last month, then got over it, then pneumonia. He refused to go back to hospital. Between the pneumonia and complications from some crap he was exposed to in Desert Storm while guarding some damn Prince, by the time my brother in law physically dragged him to the hospital and they put him on a vent, it was too late.
May or may not be a WuFlu death, but that's what they put on the death certificate.

Didn’t you listen to Dr Michael Osterholm this morning on Fox News Sunday? He told Chrissy the new variants of Covid19 are 50-100% more transmissible, causes 50-60% more illness and is it’s causing severe illness in younger adults......what he’s saying is it ain’t over so forget about ever going back to pre Covid19 normalcy.
