Well doesn’t Texas Instruments make the majority of chips for weaponry? With them being seized, maybe we’ll just fight like WW1. Install some napalm on a crop duster.
Yep Raytheon bought them out.

Texas doesn't want anyone from Louisiana. FYI After the Katrina shite show, we've had enough!

Then they better liberate Houston and deport all of the LA transplants paying taxes there. Louisiana sure isn't my first choice for a home, but no way would I ever move to or live in Texas.

Let Texas be the sacrificial lamb while preparing for your own secession.

No, Texas can’t legally secede from the U.S., despite popular myth
quote:
When Texas entered the Union, “she entered into an indissoluble relation,” Chief Justice Salmon P. Chase wrote for the court. “All the obligations of perpetual union, and all the guaranties of republican government in the Union, attached at once to the State. The act which consummated her admission into the Union was something more than a compact; it was the incorporation of a new member into the political body. And it was final. The union between Texas and the other States was as complete, as perpetual, and as indissoluble as the union between the original States. There was no place for reconsideration, or revocation, except through revolution, or through consent of the States.”

It’s just political fantasy. Catering to their audience.

LoL... wasn't intentional, ya'll offered to help. Just so happened the area wiped out wasn't home to top rate citizens.

The right for the state to secede isn’t prohibited in the constitution, the power to prevent it wasn’t granted to the federal, and the precedent was wrong, as precedents sometimes are….. and war doesn’t settle a legal question. So no, they have the right.

Insurrection, rebellion, and secession have always been legal if you win your war.

SCOTUS disagrees with you, and their opinion is what matters.

Probably about as exciting as the ice storm that Texans survived so well because they have their own electrical grid and proved they are prepared to go it alone.
With residents not having a federal tax burden even implementing a 10% Texas tax would raise enough money to solve those problems quickly

SCOTUS has admittedly had wrong opinions before, so they’re wrong. I know they would give some indirect reason like they do when they rule unconstitutionally but so much for that opinion then.

I don’t think might makes right, I’m just saying secession isn’t unconstitutional, whether the feds keep a state in by force or not.

If the citizens of a state elect to secede from the US, do you really think they GAF what the Supreme Court of the US rules?
Posted on 6/21/22 at 3:32 pm to Cuz413
For secession to be illegal, the constitution needs to be amended to grant the feds that power, because they don’t have it.

Yes, because as was determined the first time, the US Army is taking the Court's side.
