Affirmative action is what I'm guessing.
After seeing kids at institutions like Yale crying and whining about safe spaces, I don't take for granted that a degree or a university means anything until that person proves their knowledge in another way.

You’re asking the wrong question OP. You shouldn’t be amazed that she has a economics degree from Boston U. What you fail to realize is for the most part colleges have ceased to be actual institutes of higher learning. Instead they’re little more than socialist progressive indoctrination camps. AOC is who she is not in spite of her degree, she is exactly what her degree was designed to produce.

She has a degree but you have no idea what her grades were. You can have a degree and have learned almost nothing with grades just good enough to pass.

International Relations is one of the least credible majors in academia. IR applies scientific methodology to history, with bad results.
IR uses complicated graphs and data sets to sex up simple ideas that are better explained with a short paragraph.
Worst of all, it tries to eliminate the person from history, to draw larger lessons.
This is an intrinsically dumb idea.
People and culture are what make history, and make history so inexplicable at times.
Most papers are purposefully dense. This makes the author seem smart, to some people, and makes simple ideas appear complicated. They consider complicated good.
As a profession, it is a waste, and should not exist.

Again, as I posted earlier in this thread, she graduated Cum Laude. It's not the grades. Either it's affirmative action or BU is completely fricking awful.

The 3 billion in tax breaks could be spent on several other programs other than Amazon. Yes, she actually thought her state was gonna cut them a check for 3 billion apparently.
