I don't understand the pro-Ukraine crowd getting rock hard when talking about Russia "not winning" in 3 days or whatever.
This is America.
We spent decades to LOSE a war vs goat herders living in caves.
We were blind to loosely coordinated attacks on our soil, multiple times.
We ran out with tails tucked from African warlords with militias.
We spent decades losing a war to farmers living in mud huts in the jungle.
We wasted lives in Korea, accomplishing nothing.
Our strategy in WWII was to send more men and equipment than the other side could muster. And when that wasn't going to work out... nuke em!
Why do we think we are so bad arse? Grenada, y'all! If we aren't willing to drop another nuke, what kind of a threat do we really pose vs. an enemy that is willing to fight a war to win?

Here is my “narrative”. Russia sucks and Ukraine sucks. Both have shitty governments. IMHO , Putin is marginally more shitty than Zelenski. I’d rather American boys die on neither’s behalf. I’d prefer Russians and Ukrainians die in bed decades from now rather than butchering one another. Additionally, because of our shitty economic leadership, my income has dropped substantially since 2020 and it seems a bit unfair that my taxes are so high and I face government scrutiny about said income ( no OT baller ) while we give tens of billions to one of the aforementioned shitty governments. I’m not sure why that’s so hard for the war lovers to understand.

My guess is most folks here never actually made that connection, so in their mind they don’t realize what they’re doing.
