so give up and let things slip further into shite? could it be any more obvious that dc lacks balls. very few sacks in that city.

So you fight, lose, and are worse off in the end with even less power.

Explain to me how is that intelligent or a good strategy in any way?

THIS. I am pissed at Mike Johnson for not shutting down the government, but his majority includes several cuck RINOs that were probably telling him they would vote with the Democrats to get it passed.

So what?

Some of you will jump through an unlimited number of hoops in order to justify cowardice and betrayal.

I understand reality, some of us told yall when gaetz canned McCarthy that this was exactly what would happen.

Its a self perpetuating death spiral.

We can keep killing off people which means you get less quality and more grift.

Its a mob of tribesman running around and killing all the Shamen because they refuse to stop the rain.

This logic always fascinates me.

The left had "no power" after Reagan destroyed Carter and for decades the prevailing political wisdom was that America was a "center right" nation. Yet the left pushed and pushed, threw bomb after political bomb, had their savior turned into an overnight punchline from banging an intern in the Oval Office and yet they elected a huge push to the left in Obama and to date have politically turned that prevailing political wisdom on its head. Yet for the "right" to attempt the same is futile, they're without power, it's bad politics, etc.

If what you're saying by "no power" is that the money that puts republicans in office wants more or less the same things that put democrats in office, we agree. But Mike Johnson has changed his tune, fact. If he has no power, it's not because it's bad politics.

Somebody sent his wife white powder in the mail to their church where she works out of. Followed by visits from the FBI.

I know a lot of people who go here. Johnson is from my old area (Cypress-Black Bayou)

No.

The DEMs hold the Senate and Presidency.

The only way he could have gotten what Gaetz promised months ago was to shut down the government and somehow emerge from that with enough added power to overcome both the Senate and Biden. Explain to me how that is possible, within the realm of reason and rationality.

Because it's easy to throw bombs when you have no real responsibilities.

When you have actual responsibilities?

We agree. Republicans, especially MAGA ones, are not palatable to win elections nationally.

true dat. forgot about that...

There are very few that could never be set up and remain silenced. Rand Paul is one, Ron Paul was...

Like Tucker told Tulsi she could have faked what they wanted and became very wealthy.

They made fun of Tulsi because she lived in what Tucker called the hood of DC.

Things don't always have to be overly complicated or a conspiracy.

OK. But why express his "personal desire" to send aid to Ukraine, when he voted against it repeatedly in the past?

Why not just say, "we have to do this to get it passed" or "I've voted against this in the past, I'm still against it, but I'm doing it for the good of the country"

Doing what you have to do is one thing, but to openly promote something you were against just months ago is fricked up.

Maybe. I lived over closer to Joe D Waggoners place on the East side of Cypress.

I played sports for FBC Benton, and a lot of our guys went to Cypress. My best bud was married there.

My granddaughter goes to some functions there too, she has friends there.
