Seems like the only reason to have it would be to agitate people.

I have no problem with it.

That's just an added benefit.

Not a huge concern at the moment. Maybe next year.

How does it hurt you?

I assume you're not crazy about the re-enactors, either.

So, are you also embarrassed by Comic Book conventions or Renaissance festivals?

Every other group gets a month to celebrate.

Seems fair and non-discriminatory.

As you should be and I'm not talking about the heritage month.

I don't care one bit.

It has zero effect on me, and I wouldn't even know he said anything about it except for twtiter and an old friend from Cali linking a Huffpo article telling me about it.

You should be okay with it since Trump doesn't own mutual fund shares in it...

I didn't say it hurt me. The Confederacy is just an embarrassing heritage to celebrate, all things considered.

I'm trying to imagine having a family member who fought for the Confederate forces. I'm sure I have a few. Would I be proud? No. Would I go out of my way to celebrate them? Of course not.

Then again, I also recognize that it was a different world in the mid-1800s, and I could have just as easily found myself fighting alongside Confederate forces because I wouldn't know any better. I try to remember that, but I still can't find it in me to "celebrate" it.

Of course, that's just my opinion.

That's good enough for me. I love seeing SJW's loose their minds over very trivial bullshite.

I think it comes across as “in your face” to black folks and that’s not the direction we need to be headed in in this country.

If they have confederate heritage, then that makes sense.

However, if they want the month to be historically accurate then a bunch of yankees need to show up in the first week, resulting in cancellation of the heritage month by about the 2nd week.

And depending on which aspects of the Confederacy we're talking about, I might agree with you.

But, recall we're celebrating transgenderism and abortion, 24/7 in Hollywood and other places. I assume that doesn't embarrass you? Maybe I'm misreading you.

They've had 160 years to get over it. Race baiting leftists have turned it into a cottage industry.

Nothing to see here, move along.
