Considering there revenue comes from property taxes, I doubt the accounting folks knew that they be paying millions more a year in gas for patrol vehicles. I’m sure next domino is layoffs for police or they won’t respond as often to save on gas. Property taxes can’t just be raised on citizens so they are in limbo.

Our county is fortunate to have reserve funds and a great bond rating, so we’re not terribly concerned. But it’s a great question for a lot of others.

Short term, they will cut back on patrols and response to 911 calls. shite will spiral out of control in certain cities. Big brother will step in and assert control after that. There is no other possibility.

Carrying a full gas can will be considered illegal proceeds of a crime and subject to civil asset forfeiture.

New Policy is they have to call brandon,Brandon, give the race of the reported subject, estimated dollar amount of damage to see if to roll a car or not. If city is on fire and looting is happening, stay put and don't dip into the donut fund for gas

Buying Tahoes and turbo'd Explorers that drink gas because their fat arse officers demand the space is going to bite a lot of departments.

Part of bidens plan to go green. I can see his next press conference " yesterday there was a school shooting and law enforcement officers couldn't respond, they couldn't afford gas due to all the charging stations we are installing across the nation "
