NATO legally is an alliance with hard agreements signed on paper. Israel is not legally an ally in any sense that I am aware of.
I’m all for getting rid of NATO though.

They’re not an ally as much as a leech, and even if they were, we don’t even need an ally in the Middle East. Our “alliance” with them has netted us absolutely nothing positive while dragging us into a world war, multiple proxy wars, and a long term pointless war over oil and politician money laundering.
I dug deep into the “God’s chosen people” claim and it’s total bullshite both biblically and historically- God’s chosen are not the people who reside in modern day Israel. They killed Jesus Christ and most of you idiot evangelical boomers would die for them in the name of God tomorrow

They’re more of an ally than Hezbollah, Iran, Hamas, or the Houthis, but they’re definitely not an ally that I would consider “close”.

I understand the protection aspect.
I’m aware how the majority view Christians, but not all. Some have been reached and converted.
They still are a close ally.
My Ukraine opposition is not because I think spreading American Democracy is bad, it’s because I’ve seen and read enough to know that’s just a smoke screen.
Trump was impeached because he was over the target of the corruption there and how it funneled back to America.
Not many people are aware, or heard the actual phone call, where outgoing Vice President Joe Biden straight tells Zelensky he’s not to ask the Trump administration for US funds because it will cause him to look into where the money is going.
More money is being wasted there than you could fathom related to Israel. And the Israel money actually serves a purpose.

Lie to them that Israel is the only country in the Middle East that allows for all ethnic groups, religions, etc. That even though they don't always see eye-to-eye with the US that they serve as the local eyes and ears for the US in that region and as long as the Muslum country troglodytes focused on Israel, it keeps them from focusing on the US.

Conflict over land, resources and religion has been occuring since the beginning of humanity. Israel and/or the Jews isn't the root of all problems contrary to what some smooth brains here believe.
