Tfag believes you shouldn't have to buy insurance until after you have been diagnosed.

Obamacare led the insurance companies to record profits while the rest of us suffer with insanely high rates and unrealistic deductibles.

This part makes me think you might have brain damage or possible, a birth defect. You're not going to be able to understand the responses you're going to get. It's sad, really.

You obviously are too young to remember or understand. For someone who had a “chronic condition,” such as an existing cardiac condition or hemophilia or any of the multitude of chronic conditions, whenever they would begin a new policy, medical care for that condition was not covered for a year.

Also, most people get insurance through their employment. So, change jobs, you pay full price for your premium and also pay full price medical expenses out of pocket for a year. Change jobs again, another year with no coverage.

You either lost the ability to change jobs, or you lost insurance for medical expenses.

It was complete abuse, because you still paid the premium without coverage. Also, often the new employer had insurance from the same insurer, such as Blue Cross. Despite the fact that you paid the policy premium over the course of both policies, you had no coverage for known and necessary medical expenses.

If that’s your utopia, you can have it.

There is a pretty broad consensus that pre existing conditions be included. I always thought there should be a national catastrophe fund to prevent medical bankruptcies which strike me as absurd. Not sure how that would be structured.

I’d look no further than Nancy Pelosi’s investments. She’s the one that pushed it through. Obama had given up on it.

It's this insane thing that people want to act like this bullshite crony capitalism is the same as free market. I am all for an actual free market, but these gigantic corps are buying off politicians to write bullshite protectionist laws, all while boards of directors are failing at their duties by not having issues with short term profits over literally everything.

A healthy person who only visits the doctor once or twice a year is a moron for not wanting to pay $4000 a year so they can save $75 on their office visit? That has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

When the Insurance lobby writes a bill, you might want to look into it a bit deeper before you commit the country to an extortion/protection racket.

Group policies for the most part didn’t have pre-existing condition clauses.

They applied to individual policies because someone would go without insurance and then apply for coverage after getting sick or need knee surgery.

It’s like buying car insurance after getting into an accident.

People could change jobs anyway and not lose coverage because of a provision called a certificate of credible coverage.

Most people don’t know shite about insurance including the one in here popping off.

obamacaree needs to be blow the frick up

poors already got free healthcare

cant we go back to cheap premiums like we had under bush and clinton?

or did pre existing shite ruin it all for everyone?

It just gave more poors access to free/cheap insurance, which shifted those costs up the ladder.

Like how tariffs will give those poors jobs and do the same cost-shifting to pay for it.

First, do you think Obamas goal was to help or hurt the American people?
Go read the Clower Pivens strategy…. Obamas mentors and guidance on his plan.
Those who are in charge when a country collapses get to write the new rules. The goal was to collapse..
